The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office has served a misdemeanor criminal summons to North Carolina's $188 million Powerball winner, Marie Holmes.
According to court documents, Lorna Marlowe has accused Holmes of making threatening and harassing phone calls on Jan. 10. Marlowe filed the complaint that same day.

WATCH: Buddhist monk fights back after getting robbed buying lottery tickets

Police are searching for a man who was caught on video robbing a Buddhist monk as he bought lottery tickets in a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, convenience store.
Police said the 61-year-old monk was at a Sunoco gas station store on South Broad Street buying lottery tickets from a machine on Jan. 3 when an unidentified black male snatched $350 in cash from the monk's hands and ran out of the door.

Cape Cod fisherman reels in $10M lottery prize

William Chopper Young Jr., a shellfisherman and champion oyster shucker, has won the $10 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery's $10,000,000 Mega Fortune instant game.
Young opted to receive the cash option on his prize and collected a one-time payment of $6,500,000 (before taxes), according to an official statement from lottery officials today announcing the win. He plans on using his winnings to help his family and invest, the statement said.

Richard Loveless was going through his usual Sunday routine on Oct. 18 when he learned that a winning $42.5 million Lotto ticket was sold the day before at the Pit Stop convenience store the same business where he purchases his Lotto tickets.

Pennsylvania Lottery seeking volunteer witnesses on evening drawing show

The Pennsylvania Lottery is looking for volunteers who are Pennsylvania residents over the age of 55 to appear as witnesses on the evening drawing show in Harrisburg.

Texas Lottery starts new 'Texas Triple Chance' game next week

Texas Lottery players will be getting a brand new game to play, starting next week.
On Sunday, Sept. 27, tickets for the new Texas Triple Chance game will go on sale at lottery retailers throughout the state. It is the Texas Lottery's first all-new draw game since All or Nothing was launched on Sept. 9, 2012.

Rhonda Rasche had a great plan for the $50,000 she won from a scratch-off Illinois Lottery ticket.
She wanted to help her best friend cope with the loss of her mother.
