March 15, 2009, 2:06 pmA simple Keno system/wheel - 30 numbers and 10 lines
This is a simple keno 5 abbreviated wheel with a 22% guarantee of 3/5 if five numbers are within the system numbers.
Usually you will get between 6 and 12 numbers within the system in a 20/70 Keno so there's usually no problem getting 3/5 and sometimes 4/5.
Numbers between 1 - 30 must be replaced with your own system numbers and accordingly in the wheel.
Spread the numbers evenly above 35 and below 36 to make it balanced. If you win, please tell me, if you don't, don't tell me

February 15, 2009, 12:21 pmDr. Lottery? Anyone got any experience with him and his system?
His website and his ebay ads looks halfway shady. Earlier he advertised with small photocopies of covers of wellknown magazines where he was pictured.
I did a search on the websites of some of the magazines and didn't find neither articles or covers with him on the front.
He use a professor in mathematics J.A. Allenhurst as his honest reference.
I searched for this professor and the books which he supposedly has published. Didn't find neither.
He also calls himself mathematics professor.
Is he a fraud like Paul Connor?
January 21, 2009, 1:47 pmBeen testing LottoSync 1.8 for 2-3 weeks
With very varying results. I am not that impressed by the results I've gotten on Pick-6. Perhaps it will help when X400 samples will be introduced in version 1.8.2.
I can see a use for it on Keno. It hits 5 numbers correct once in a while, which makes it useful if you want to use pick-5 or pick-6 wheels on Keno. Yes it is possible! I've also tested Keno on Lotto Sorcerer and often get better results than LottoSync. Unlike LottoSync, Lotto Sorcerer doesn't spend hours finding the numbers. Usually no more than 5 seconds. This is a test where only one line of Keno is predicted.
I'm not dissing LottoSync completely. I will perhaps buy a 3 month license.
Discovered a "new" lottery prediction software on the internet: PF-LottoSP for Pocket PC and Windows Mobile. It uses the same Montecarlo mathematical routines as LottoSync, but costs only 17-18 dollars, and it uses mere seconds to come up with the predicted numbers. Haven't tested it yet, but will probably buy it out of pure curiosity. For those without a pocket PC, Microsoft got a windows mobile emulator available for free.

November 30, 2008, 2:32 pmWhat I am looking for in lottery prediction software
It should be able to predict only one line with 6 numbers. And it should be the optimum recommended numbers.
To be able to go in even (zero) or profit, this software must be able to predict 3 numbers correct once every 10 draws or better on Viking Lotto.
How will this go in zero? It costs 4 NOK (Norwegian kroner) for betting one line. It is possible to bet the same line up to 20 times
on one slip. You can of course deliver the same coupon several times as well to bet even more.
If you deliver the same line 10 times in one draw it costs 40 NOK. One 3 number win is usually 40-45 NOK.
If you win once every 10 draw you will win 400-450 NOK. And you will have spent 400 NOK.

August 25, 2008, 9:15 amNorwegian rap
I would like to present MadCon. A norwegian rap group which is on the brink of making it big in Europe.
They have recently reached number 5 on the sales list in the UK with the hit Beggin', first made popular by Frankie Valli in the 60s.
MadCon added some rap to the song. The theme of the video is 70s blacksploitation and video gaming.
August 3, 2008, 12:43 pmNorwegian pop music 1
I would like to present Espen Lind, a well known song artist in Norway. Besides making his own music he has also written a song for Beyonce, "Irreplaceable" which became a international hit.
June 26, 2008, 5:04 amGot some old DOS software...?
...you can't get to run on Windows XP?
Finally you can run that favorite DOS lottery software or game you haven't been able to use in the last ten years.
Go to dosbox.com and download DOSBox for your PC. It may be smart to install a front end/GUI program as well.
If you got some old Windows 3.1 software which no longer run, it is possible to install Windows 3.1 in DOSBox.
I found this gem after looking for a MS DOS emulator to be able to run some DOS software which came with an old lottery book I bought on Amazon.
If your games runs too fast in DOSBox it's possible to reduce the number of cycles used by DOSBox. Cycles stands for Mhz in this case.

June 1, 2008, 6:25 pmFree software for data crunching and data mining
Came across this free software in my hunt for data mining applications: RapidMiner.
It's free for personal use and you can do forecasting with both A.I. methods and statistical methods. And if you're running a 64 bit OS you can finally take advantage of your PCs capabilities. Both 32 bit and 64 bit versions are available. It looks like a complex program, but hey!, it's free. The only cost will be time.
May 29, 2008, 2:05 amLucky me
Got an email today congratulating me for winning a lottery I can't even remember buying any tickets in.
Seems to happen all the time. ![]()

May 19, 2008, 4:29 pmLotto Sorcerer - 64 bit software?
Notice that Satori Publishing brags about Lotto Sorcerers 64 bit, multi threaded computing power on their website.
Strange then that when running LS 6.17 on Windows XP Professional x64 (64 bit OS) task manager report it as 32 bit software. If they really want to brag, they should develop a separate version which takes advantage of the 64 bit processing power of the new multi core AMD and Intel processors.
Anyway, I will do a test later with the software in several different configurations and see if they have improved the prediction engine since version 5.

May 3, 2008, 8:19 pmA nostalgic 80's music video
Once in a while I will post a link to an old skool music video which I like for nostalgic reasons.
The videos will usually be from the 80's but sometimes also the early 90's. Sometimes it will be high class rock and other times bad taste euro dance.
Todays 80's favorite has been taken from the movie Beat Street, featuring Grandmaster Melle Mel & the Furious Five. Beat Street was the movie which really introduced Hip Hop and Breakdance to the general public.

April 27, 2008, 5:34 pmBought a neural network addin for Excel
I decided to test it and bought the cheapest on the market, NeuroXL.
I know it's controversial to use and it has been slammed before, but I decided to try it after reading LottoPirate's hit statistic. LottoPirate, which I believe use a programming library from Ward Systems for its predictions, is able to predict one line with 3(or better) out of 6 numbers correct in 1 out of 4 draws in a 6/49 lottery.
Perhaps it sucks ass, but it will be an interesting test. If it sucks, I will try to use it on horse racing and soccer betting instead.
This thing freezes up Excel for hours. You can't do anything else on other spreadsheets in the meantime. Now I know better why it's necessary with a workstation or a personal supercomputer in addition to your usual PC. What if you got only one PC and it crashes in the meantime? You need to start all over again. In addition having a powerful PC with only necessary software and utilities installed will prevent it from crashing all the time and get the job done fast. Now I got an excuse for buying one. Better start saving (or win!)...

January 6, 2007, 8:37 pmLottery Prediction method for 6/49
In my everquest searching for lottery prediction methods I came across an Excel sheet created by someone at another lottery message board.
Visit this thread
Haven't tested it. I need to alter it to make it work for a 6/48 lottery first.

Finally, here is the conclusion from the test.
Wins in 30% of the draws is not that impressive even though I played only 10 lines. This corresponds to 50% better than average. When testing I used only a history of 57-66 draws and not the maximum 138 which was recommended. Perhaps the program would have pernormed a little bit better with full history.
While testing Lotto Sorcerer 4.0.5, Satori Publishing has released a new version v. 4.1.4 which also is able to predict with the help of statistical aids like Median, Sum, Odd/Even, etc.
I will probably do a test on LS 4.1.4 or a newer version later in the spring.
