fast eddie's Blog

It's been a while

I haven't been around in a while but I'm still here. I've been playing the lottery daily in small doses, which is new to me. lol. As for my casino roulette, I haven't played since may of this year. I have been spending my time attending to family issues, that is taking care of my 10 year old son who suffers from severe anxiety and is having a lot of trouble as of late. No child should be robbed of the joy of being a kid and enjoying life. As a parent it is very difficult thing to watch your child suffer and no be able to quickly fix the situation. We are taking all the proper steps and getting him the care he needs but the day to day struggles are overwhelming. So please pray for my son and family as we go through this most difficult time. Take care and good luck to all.  fast eddie....

Lottery Tips

Lotteries or lotto’s are a game of chance, whichever numbers you choose, they all have an equal chance of being the winning numbers. However, if you avoid picking numbers that many other people pick, you can significantly increase your winnings when the correct balls do appear.

Our top lottery tips here tell you how to do just that by sharing the prize with fewer people. All too often the jackpot prize is shared between many people who picked the same winning numbers. You can avoid or minimize this happening to you.

Try to make sure that you pick different combinations of numbers, thus making sure that your lottery jackpot is the life-changing sum you are looking for, or at least the smaller prizes in the draw won’t be shared and thus end up smaller than ever.

  1. Picking family birthdays is done by huge numbers of people, whilst this may produce a seemingly random result, using only the numbers (01 - 31) drastically limits the range. Therefore, more people will be choosing those numbers and leaving out the other number ranges. This is by far the most widely used form of number picking, an estimated 40 percent of people use this method!
  2. People like uniform patterns and many people pick numbers in arithmetic sequences ie 05, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 07, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42. This approach is taken by more people than you would imagine.
  3. Don’t make patterns on the lottery playslip (shapes, diagonals, straight lines etc - in any direction). Any number of people do this, literally!
  4. Many people pick numbers that have appeared recently, believing them to be lucky. This isn’t a good tactic because statistically these numbers have less chance of appearing again in the near future.
  5. Using a 'tip' service is a bad idea, just how many other people will use the same numbers?

Laying off Pick Three

I haven't played any Pick Three this year I am concentrating my efforts on Pick Four. Pick three was not profitable for me last year and do not like the small $500 payout for hitting a straight.. The only lottery game that has shown me a profit over the last few years has been Pick Four. $5,000 for hitting a dollar straight is a nice such a nice payout and it's money you can do somthing with, yeah like bankroll a year's worth of gambling. I know 10,000 to 1 odds are hard to beat but I have hit more Pick Four Straights than Pick Three Straights. I am looking for a multiple P-4 Straights this year. I had 11 three of four exact order last year but did not nab a single straight Pick Four win. I already have had 1 three of four exact order this year and think I'm on the right track and waiting patiently for my big payday. It will come and it's important that I have multiple dollars on it when it does. Good Luck & take care. fast eddie Wink

Pick Three Odds

Straight: This is simply matching all 3 numbers in the correct order and pays $500. The odds of getting each number correct is 1/10 so the probability of matching 3 is (1/10)3=1/1000. The expected return is $500*(1/1000) = $0.50 for a house edge of 50.0%.

3 way box: The player must choose two of one number and one of another, for example 5-5-7. If the same three numbers are drawn in the lottery, in any order, the player wins $160. There are combin(3,2)=3 winning combinations out of 1000 that will win (5-5-7, 5-7-5, 7-5-5). The probability of winning is 3/1000. The expected return is $160*(3/1000) = $0.48 for a house edge of 52%.

6 way box: The player must choose three different numbers, for example 4-6-8. If the same three numbers are drawn in the lottery, in any order, the player wins $80. There are 3!=6 winning combinations out of 1000 that will win (4-6-8, 4-8-6, 6-4-8, 6-8-4, 8-4-6, 8-6-4). The probability of winning is 6/1000. The expected return is $80*(6/1000) = $0.48 for a house edge of 52%.

With these high house odds if you can show any type of profit at years end you should consider yourself a winner.

Tried a Lotto Wheel and got two 4 ball hits

Tried a 10 ball Lotto wheel (cost $5.00) that generates a minimum of 3 hits when all the balls appear within the set. Four of the six numbers drawn appeared within the set and gave me two lines with 4 hits on them paying $26.50 each and another two lines with three hits on them paying $3.00 each. Last year I played $5.00 per draw all year long using the method of cover all the numbers once with eight repeating numbers of my choice and this only yielded me one four ball hit, and now just days into the New Year i've hit two four ball hits all on one draw so this might be the way to play it. Only drawback is when i was covering all the numbers i would get that feeling after the draw that i might have won it, till i looked closely and said "Oh well better luck next time" as where with a small set you can pretty much glance and go, nope not tonight.

almost 10 grand x 2

My number 4398 came in midday as 4998 and this evening my number 7459 came in as 7479. That makes ten 3 of 4 in exact order for the year and not one straight hit. Unhappy Just one straight hit for the year and I'd be showing a profit, but no dice.

Roulette results

Bad news my winning streak came to an end. Good news, I only lost -$75 on the evening. I was never up more than fifty and came back from down two hundred three times and could never get over the hump. So it was late and after playing for over four hours I gave it one last shot and ened up losing $75 bucks. I feel this night was kind of a mini win in a sense because I played for so long and realized it wasn't going to happen for me that night and I didn't force it and I left the casino to fight another day. Discipline and money management are very important keys to a sucessful trip to the casino.

Total for the year: -$1,150

winning sessions: 8

losing sessions: 11

Just missed winning 10 & 15 grand

Chair What a week. Just can't catch a break. I play 3725 here in IL. for two bucks straight and 3728 comes in. An then the very next drawing I play 4398 for three bucks straight and 4378 comes in. Dead So many near Pick Four starights this year. If I could just hit one. There's a few weeks left to the year I'll keep trying for that straight, I need it in order to show a profit for the year. Good Luck to all. Wink
