Yesterday, 3:02 pmLife Is Short, Live It

Life is short, live it.
Love is rare, grab it.
Anger is bad, dump it.
Fear is awful, face it.
Memories are sweet.
Cherish them...
No matter if we choose to believe it or not, we are all going to leave this earth with a legacy. Realizing this, we have to know that the type of legacy we leave is left up to how we treat life every day.

How do you want the memory of yourself to appear before others when you are gone? Do you want to be known for helping people to achieve their dreams, or do you want to be known for limiting people from achieving their dreams? Do you want to be known as someone who gave their all in everything that they did, or do you want to be known as a stubborn loser, who never tried past failures.

Do you want to be known as someone who lived their life for a reason greater than themselves, or do you want to be known as someone who never made a move, never took a risk, and played it safe to the grave?

The answers to these questions are yours to make as each day passes, just be sure to choose the right answers.

April 14, 2014, 7:41 pmTough Times Are Like Physical Exercise

Tough times are like physical exercise.
You may not like it while you are doing it, but tomorrow you will be stronger because of it.
Everyone goes through at least one period in which they feel like it is a suffocating, unbearable burden weight on their shoulders that they will never be able to get rid of, and wonder if they will ever get past the pain felt at those moments in their lives. Remember in times like these that this too shall pass. Times will all change and neither bad times nor good times last forever. In order to get through the rougher periods of our lives it is imperative that we live as positive of a lifestyle as possible.

In order to do this we must do things to help ourselves, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Things like prayer, laughter, seeing licensed self-help professionals, and balance will help us deal with emotions and circumstances that are not pleasant. We must realize that we must make many investments in our overall well being in order to help us be the best person that we may possibly become, instead of letting how we feel and the problems that we encounter overcome us.

April 10, 2014, 6:02 pmThe First

April 10

The First Empty Tomb

1 Corinthians 15:35-58

Jesus is the only person who has an empty tomb. Everyone else who's died has returned to the dust, but Christ is alive and seated at the Father's right hand. Because He overcame death, His followers are also guaranteed empty tombs someday. When Jesus returns for His church, those who have died in Him will be resurrected into glorious bodies. And believers who are alive at that time will instantaneously be changed.

Knowing this, we naturally wonder, What kind of body will I have? The best way to answer that is to see what Scripture reveals about Christ's body after He rose from the dead. He didn't come invisibly in the form of a ghost but rather had a literal, physical body. He talked, walked, and ate with His disciples. Yet although He was recognizable, He was somehow different, and at times it took His words or actions to jog their recognition.

Here's one thing I can tell you about the resurrection: you will look better than you do today! God is going to give you a strong, glorious, eternal body which is perfectly fitted for your life in heaven. Believe me, you will not be disappointed, because God has far more in store for us on the other side than we can ever imagine. You will be more alive there than you could ever be here.

A more important issue we must face is how to get ready for that day. This life is just a puff of wind compared to our eternity. It's my personal opinion that the way we live here on earth will determine our capacity to enjoy heaven. The time to begin living for God is now.

April 8, 2014, 6:46 pmDon't Allow

Don't allow your wounds to turn you into a person you are not.
Many of us are marked with the scars and bruises of playing and living as a child, that don't affect us in any way except to serve as memories from our past. In life, as there are physical scars, there are emotional scars as well, but we must never allow these scars to turn us into someone who we really aren't.
Instead of changing who you are to avoid ever being scarred again emotionally, we must choose to live as ourselves and use the experiences of the past to help guide us into our futures.

Be yourself in everything that you do, and most importantly be courageous enough to still take the risks and opportunities that life will present to you even in the presence of fear.
Help yourself to a full portion of life and what it has to offer by making efforts to live your life to the fullest extent by not allowing the wounds of the past to prevent you from living each day to the best of your ability.

April 6, 2014, 11:21 amKeep Your Thoughts

Keep Your Thoughts Positive

Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words.
Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior.
Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits.
Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values.
Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.
To keep moving forward in life it is a must that we keep a continual attitude of positivity, and excellence. Keep a smile on your face, even in the most trying of times. Keep being yourself as well. Many times when life gets us down, all we desire is some normalcy after tragedy.  During these difficult times we must remember to fully engage in life, and to live to reach and surpass our potential, we have to continue to be ourselves and no one else. Doing so will lead to the ultimate happiness, and is the only way to truly be fulfilled.

Always remember that life is like a bicycle. To stay balanced in life you must keep moving, there is no time to stop and fall, and trying to pedal backwards will only lead to falls and accidents, so keep moving forward to keep your balance, and to live the best life you may possibly live.

April 2, 2014, 4:56 pmThere Are Far Better Things Ahead Than Any We Leave Behind

There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.
Choose to look ahead. Think about it. If we chose to navigate our cars and drive forward, while focusing intently on the rearview mirror, chances are we are in for a big accident and a big amount of destruction. This is a great analogy for how we should live our lives as well. If we choose to live our lives in the hopes of moving forward, but with our hearts focused on the past, sooner than later we will wreck our lives.

The past is the past for a reason, and that reason was to help make you who you are now, and to help give you the drive to become the person you ultimately want to become. Remember that there are always far better things ahead of us in our lives than there are that we were forced to leave behind us. Move on from what was, so that you can better focus on what is, and what will be.

March 30, 2014, 9:59 pmHold On Pain Ends

HOPE - Hold on, Pain Ends
As we go through life, and we learn more from our experiences, it is impossible to avoid the lessons that pain will bring. The key to overcoming the pain in your life is to realize that though pain is something that is inevitably a part of life, we have the choice of whether we are going to wallow in it and suffer, or move on from it, and do our best to let it go.

Our lives are much too short to just focus on the hurtful times, and instead we should make great attempts to stay on the path towards greatness and reaching our dreams despite how much pain we may be in. Eventually the pain of your present will diminish, and if you waste time by not continuing to move forward you will be set back much further than you would have if you would of just worked through it. So hold on, be strong; keep pushing through the rough patches in life, because eventually pain ends.

March 29, 2014, 4:04 pmYou Always Have A Choice

It's a choice.
You just have to decide that I'm not going to put my energy there.
I'm going to decide to let this go.
It's your choice.
You can embrace it, you can become a prisoner of bitterness and resentment anger and victim city, or you can just say 'I'm going to live my life and be happy'.
A sure fire message that we all have been able to take advantage of in our lifetimes is that there are always choices to be made in our lives. The life that we lead presently is nothing more than the addition of all of the choices that we have made in the past, whether they be good or bad choices.
The good choices that we make usually come from what we have been through while the knowledge and experience that we acquire through life usually comes from the decisions that we were mistaken to make.
You always have a choice.  You may choose to learn from all of the things you have been through, and make your best way possible, or you may choose to let your set backs in life set you back from moving forward to becoming a stronger and better you, make sure to choose wisely.

March 27, 2014, 1:02 pmDon't Waste A Minute Not Being Happy

Don't waste a minute not being happy.
If one window closes, run to the next window- or break down a door.
Happiness is not a onetime stop, being happy is an attitude that must stay with you in every place that you go in life. Those who are truly happy are happy when they are afraid, because they know that ultimately everything is going to be all right. Those who are truly happy are happy when they fail because they know once they get back up and try again they have a better chance of overcoming whatever obstacle may be in their way. Those who are happy are peaceful in times of stress because they know that keeping a positive upbeat attitude is one of the only ways to make the feelings of stress in their lives subside.

Those who are happy understand that happiness is a commitment, not an achievement. Live your life happily, to the best of your ability, and make sure that you never travel without this uplifting attitude from station to station.

March 25, 2014, 6:42 pmRevelation 4:9-11

Our Awesome God

Revelation 4:9-11

In our culture, God’s name is oftentimes mentioned with little reverence. In fact, many people actually use it as a curse. Even among those who love Him, it is far too common to use His name casually, without taking time to ponder who He is. When you say a blessing at mealtimes, for instance, do you realize that you are talking to the almighty Creator God who rules over all things?

Our view of the Lord impacts three areas of life. First, it affects our prayers. As we come to know Him better and better, our desires will start to look like His goals for us, and our petitions will align more closely with His purposes. Furthermore, as we recognize His greatness and power, we’ll become more confident that He can accomplish mighty things—and we will venture to “pray big.”

Second, our understanding of His righteousness and goodness influences our behavior. If God has these attributes, surely it is in our best interest to obey gladly. We will desire righteousness and be quick to repent of sin.

Third, our faith is impacted. Grasping that Jesus is holy, good, and powerful grows our trust in Him. Knowing our awesome God and remembering His great works will further build our confidence in Him.

Do you personally know our loving and holyheavenly Father? He invites you into an intimate relationship with Him. But, as with any good friendship, time and intentionality are necessary to understand Him and learn His ways. The more you do that, the more your prayers, behavior, and faith will be impacted.

March 20, 2014, 9:35 pmSeeking Guidance

March 20

Seeking Guidance

Psalms 25:4-5

When you're facing a decision, whether big or small, it is important to wait upon God for His direction and timing. And though it may sound paradoxical, there are three ways that we can take an active role in the process while we wait.

First, we should examine our heart, asking the Holy Spirit to expose any wrongs. If He brings something to light, it is important to take care of that sin immediately--by confessing, repenting, and doing whatever's needed to correct the situation. At times we push this task aside because the impending decision seems like our main concern. Yet we cannot hear from God or receive His full blessing until we deal with transgression.

Second, when seeking direction, we should listen patiently and attentively for the Lord to give the go-ahead. It can be difficult to wait, especially when emotions or logic lead us to favor one choice.

Third, the answer to our prayer at times requires our involvement. For instance, when people tell me they're out of work and trusting God to provide, I always want to know if they are actively looking for a job. Some are not; they are simply praying. We have responsibility not only to present God with requests and seek His guidance but also to be active in the process. Waiting on God is not an excuse to be lazy.

Prayer is a beautiful privilege that the heavenly Father gives to His children. He desires to lead us into a life of abundance. We should take an active part in seeking His will and listening for His voice. As we follow the Holy Spirit's guidance, we will experience all that the Lord has for us.

March 17, 2014, 2:07 pmThink Of All The Beauty Still Left Around You And Be Happy

Think of all the beauty still left around you & be happy.
Too many times in our lives we get too concerned with the things that we don't have to appreciate the things in life that we do have that make life the most beautiful.
Think of all of the beauty that is still left around you and be happy.

We have to remember that in life if there are no dark times, then we would never be able to see something as beautiful as the stars that shine above.
Appreciate everything that you go through in life, including the bad times, the times that you have to go without many of the things that you desire, the times that require you to work and to sacrifice without seeing much reward.
Also remember that everyday is a day that you can be a blessing to others, because blessing others is essentially what life is about.
Remember that even if you feel you don't have much, there is always someone out there with less than you, be a blessing to them, and you will bless yourself as well.

March 14, 2014, 1:37 pmThe Best Things In The World Cannot Be Seen Or Even Touched

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart. - Helen Keller

Life is full of many things, and many of the most important things in our lives stem from the things that we cant see with our natural eyes. Things like the choices that we are willing to make on a day-to-day basis, affect our lives greatly without us even seeing how. The way that we choose to dress may help us to gain recognition that we aren't even seeking consciously, or it may help to deter others from wanting to get to know us.

Other things in life that are very real to us that we can't see like love help to give our lives meaning on a day to day basis. Love makes us want to work harder in our everyday lives, love keeps us honest, and it helps us to think about the things that are actually important in life, instead of focusing on the parts of life that are solely negative.
Always remember the parts of life that make life real, because many times these are the things that we may feel, but that we cant see.

March 12, 2014, 5:17 pmThere Is No Rainbow Without Rain

Everyone wants a life without pain, but there is no rainbow without rain.
If there are never any storms in your life, then you must realize that you will never be able to appreciate the best that life has to offer in turn.
There are times in our lives when we are forced to face the bad. We must learn not only how to cope with being in a storm, but we must learn how to thrive in the storms that we face in life.

If we are willing to stop our progress, and submit to being defeated, instead of learning what it takes to overcome, we will never be able to fully appreciate life and what it has to offer. This poses a threat to everything inside of us that makes us great. With a lack of anything to work hard for, we won't, and with the lack of a need for diligence we will no longer have a dream to work towards.
Always remember that though there will be rain in your life, without the rain there wouldnt be anything as beautiful as a rainbow.
