Well, looks like I'm going through the Big D.

Published:

Diabetes, type 2.

I had my doctor visit yesterday and my blood suguar is not good, but not so bad that I'm type 1.

I have to make changes to my diet and take some medication.

Also found out the Amoxicillin vastly magnified my diabetic condition and that's what caused a serious brain malfunction.

Things are getting better.

In addition to diet, more low stress exercise is in my get well plan... walking mostly.

Sounds like you're on the right track.   I can't take Amoxicillin.    I have type2.

Sorry to hear about your new diagnosis, but it sounds like you are getting it together.
I've been sick for nearly a month and ended up in the hospital for a week, large due to a bad reaction to an antibiotic, Bactrim, which did a number on my immune system. Still dealing with weakness which a little exercise will help.
Get well!!

Glad you're doing better and discovering positive changes for your diet and medications. Hang in there, sounds like you are moving in the right direction for improvement.

I've been type 2 for about 10 years now. Antibiotics never bothered me and I had to take some really strong ones last year for a tooth infection. I take metformin twice a day to control my blood sugar and I try to watch my diet but I still eat candy and have a cookie or two. My last A1C was 6.1 so I'm doing pretty good.
Now that you're aware you can take care of it and still live a relatively normal life.

Thank you for good words and encouragement.

It's a life changing event.

Ann and my boys are helping me and they are making changes to their diets as well.
