Have you ever wondered about the people who go to the ER? I wonder if there are somethings that are just too embarrassing that someone would die before calling 911. Of course they are talking about children getting their hands on the product, but otherwise it would be "Help, I ran out of Listerine so I tried my toilet bowl freshener since I have a hot date!"

lol. The stories that come out of the ER can be very surprising and funny. It's no wonder manufacturers place warnings on thier labels that seem strange to the most cautious of us, just to cover their butts from Law suits that are sure to come up from the less cautious, money seekers.

It's probably not true (sounds like a blond joke to me!) but I heard of a woman who felt sick and went to the ER. She was told she's 4 months pregnant and said that was impossible because she'd been using birth control pills and had inserted one every night! So maybe shouldn't get insulted when the pharmacy puts a "Take By Mouth" label on a prescription for painkillers or antibiotics. I always wondered "How the heck else would I take the pills?" But then I read that story.....

Had a patient,(many years ago) who, despite having used suppositories to relieve her constipation, was not able to have any. She stated," they just don't work for me.
When attempting to give the patient an enema and finding bits of aluminum foil returning, it was apparent that she had inserted the suppositories without removing the wrappers.
