Comments for "How disappointing"
November 5, 2007, 10:58 pmHow disappointing
I'll make a deal with the members of this site. I'll continue building new features if you all support me when I occasionally ask for a favor.
in my last blog post I asked for some people to take a few minutes to post some nice reviews.
You know what happened?
Competitors of Lottery Post took the opportunity to post negative reviews, bring the scores lower, while Lottery Post members did zilch - nothing.
(I guess the only "strategies" those people have at that web site is to try to sabotage unqiue ideas I create. I wonder how long it will "factor" before they rip me off again.)
I would trade every single "way to go" and "nice job" comment for nice reviews. It is an opportunity for you all to really say "thanks" -- instead of just saying it.

Comment by truecritic - November 6, 2007, 1:08 amI would love having the "gadget" on my computer, but it will have to wait until the morons at Microsoft can get Vista working correctly, if that's possible.
Vista Ultimate, as you say, is probably a wonderful upgrade for you. But, everyone isn't going to cough up the premium bucks for a system that is beyond their normal needs, (we're not all programmers such as yourself).
Sorry the one's that do have Vista haven't taken the time to respond to your request...
Comment by four4me - November 6, 2007, 11:44 amI don't care if someone has Vista or not.
If you like this web site, I am asking for a very minor favor from you. Take a few minutes out of your day and support me. Have you been using this site for free? That's because I pay for it. I am not asking for money. I am simply asking for a few minutes of support. I am not asking for a lot, yet I have given a lot.
Are there any different ways of saying this that I have left out?
You are always so fast at replying to any request, and your guidance and support has been priceless.
I think the "Post" has to be the BEST WEB SITE on the web!!!!!!!!!
I agree. The petition was bad enough, with less than 2% of the membership signing per year, and a few comedians signing as "Bugs Bunny" or "Seymour Butts." I also recall an article you wrote a while back and asked the membership for their votes. Those results were not just disappointing, they were shameful (for us, not for you). I remember actually feeling embarrassed when I saw the outcome; I thought, "Where's the unity?" "Where's the team spirit?"
For all you do for us, you have every right to expect our support on these issues. Personally, I don't think you should even have to ask; we should be there for you to the same degree you're here for us. The quarterback can't be expected to carry the ball for the entire game; sometimes, the rest of us need to get off the bench and contribute what we can.
I've said it before - if we unite as a group, we would become a juggernaut with a modicum of influence in the lottery industry. The way things are, we're just a bunch of people who are loosely acquainted with each other, sitting in our separate homes and dreaming of hitting a jackpot.
I applaud your efforts and your tireless dedication, and I want you to know that you can count on my full support wherever and whenever you might find it useful. I'd like to see 50,000 like comments here. At the very least, I'd like to see the number of comments posted to this blog entry match the number of views it receives. Many will say this is unreasonable, but I don't think it's out-of-line at all; it only takes a minute or two to add a comment. If you're so busy that you can't spare two minutes, you should be doing chores rather than wasting your time reading about issues that don't matter that much to you.

Comment by Tenaj - November 6, 2007, 6:00 pmI hate Vista but I voted on all the links that I could just to support him for creating the Gadget. You don't have to register on the last link or leave a comment. Just click on all excellent.
I challenge everybody who posted in the thread that floated around when LP was down and Todd brought it back up. Back up that praise and show so real love rather than just sucking up.

Comment by truecritic - November 6, 2007, 6:50 pmAlso here are a couple more places you might want to submit the lottery gadget to:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/
And you should like this one, they have a lot of freeware web apps.

Of course, there are more places, these are just a couple I thought would be good for your gadget. Hope everything I did helps just a little.

excellent job, i wonder if there are deflator gadget :-)
BTW, gadgets are by their nature lightweight apps, most used to display information. Something like a "deflator gadget" is probably not a good use of the technology, because one would have to strip down the functionality to make it work. That kind of thing is better done in a real app/web site (like it is now).
well i still believe there are repeated trend in a day also it might be used for pick 5/6 games although i haven't test the pick 5/6 repeated result but i think there are repeated result of most hit paid in pools 30 numbers (the most hit became watch pairs alert, i have post the most hit in other jackpot forum)
