WOW is all I can say after using the new beta of Firefox 3.
That comment is directed at:
- Performance (INCREDIBLE performance)
- User interface
- Did I say performance?
This is absolutely the fastest web browser I've ever used. It's got to be twice as fast as Firefox 2 and faster than IE (by far), Opera, and Safari.
I'm sure performance will vary by how powerful your PC is, but no matter what, you should experience similar proportional speed-ups to what I'm describing.
However, there are still bugs. Things don't finish loading on some pages, there are horizontal scroll bars on some pages (meaning that it is rendering some things in the wrong place), and other miscellaneous glitches. But the future looks bright for Firefox!

Comment by jarasan - March 11, 2008, 9:35 pmI'd highly recommend that you (and everyone else) have both IE7 and Firefox installed. The number of IE6 users is shrinking daily, and there are definitely more IE7 installations than IE6 at this point. Anyone still using IE6 should use the Windows Update feature to upgrade to IE7 for free. (Windows 98 and ME users cannot upgrade, but then again, they should really get off those antiquated operating systems anyway. They are really horrible compared to XP and Vista.)
So even though you may find that Firefox works just great, I would still strongly recommend upgrading your PC to IE7 as well. IE6 has many glitches and holes that make it something you should get away from if possible. (IE 5 and 5.5 are much worse, but that's another story.)
BTW, on the issue of spell check, you can also spell check a regular text field using IE6/7. Just click the spell check button in the Lottery Post editor to download and install IESpell. After you install it, you can right-click any text field to spell check it.
Thanks
Also downloaded Maxthon2 browser and it is also fantastic! Thanks for the recommendation!
