Just about everyone has received forwarded e-mails with catchy little sayings, or has seen them on peoples' blogs.
Did you ever wonder to yourself, "Who makes up those sayings?"
I always wondered that myself, until today, when suddenly this phrase just popped into my head, out of the blue.
I thought I should quickly blog it before I forgot.
So here is my original thought of the day!
If you do things the right way
If you persevere
You will usually get
What you want
If you avoid hard work
If you take short cuts
You will usually get
What you deserve

So true Todd. You must crawl before you can walk.
Just look at the designer of Mapquest. If this person keeps taking shortcuts, in the long run, the trip to the destination will happen sooner. ...lol

Thanks for your original thought of the day. It triggered my memory of a poem I wrote in the late sixties.
"If I Were You And You Were Me"
If I were you and you were me
Then how different things would be.
The things I do that you criticize
Would then look different in your eyes
If I were you and you were me.
Todd, I really appreciate you reminding me of this memory from 40 years ago. Also, I remember reading this line about greeting cards the year I got married (1956)...... "Of all the joys life can bring remembrance is the sweetest thing."
