The government needs to stay out of reproduction period. It's a form of culling, what next, gas chambers.

So what is law and rules here?
Pass legislation as a law in title only but have the contents of the legislation rules. The president gets to decide on what rules to enforce and which ones not to enforce or change at his or the dept heads discretion.
I think that is how this health care law or rules were written. "at the discretion of".
This rule change he is doing can be changed back at any time.
Who needs congress? Just pass legislation in title only and let any president or dep't head insert the rules.

For all you liberals out there, don't worry too much about this apparent backtracking. After the election Obama will reinstate the rules and force all religions to comply.

Then when Republicans come to power and reverse these draconian dictates, the democrats can cry about homophobic Republicans not caring about the health of women. And support for this political football from the media will be forthcoming.

Hypocrisy is what come to mind reading this, if there was a true outrage about women rights, then there wouldn't be the ridiculous Republican Party, Conservatives and please don't forget the TEA PARTY out of our wombs and out our bedrooms none of your dane business. So these rants are just that rants hypocrites to the fullest. Don't bet on the Dumb Party reversing anything. They will be waiting a long time. Practice what you preach for heaven sake!

I agree with you Louise, the government needs to stay out of our wombs, bedrooms, churches, hospitals, businesses, dog houses, outhouses, sandboxes, etc.

You're right, Louise, it's none of our dam business until you force people to give you contraception against their religious beliefs (and pay for it) and force them to murder your babies against their religious beliefs (and pay for it). We'll stay out of your business when you stop forcing us to adopt your morality and adhere to your religous beliefs. Your thirst for the blood of babies is a curse on the land.

Yep,
The next thing you know they will be having rules for living abortions up to the age of one if the parent(s) decide they do not want the baby.
I have nothing against birth control prior to conception. Once conception occurs that is the first millisecond of a human life. Anyone who does not want children get a vasectomy or their tubes tied.

How long before they decide, who can have children and how many they can have,? Look at China, they can only have one, if they want a boy and get a girl, they quite simply get rid of her, this is barbaric, and I would hate to see that happen here.

Obama said a baby is a "punishment". I would like to remind all of you that times are different, people live a lot longer now than they did even just 50 years ago. Our technology has changed much more rapidly than our bodies and hormones, some societies and moralists have made it taboo to follow thru on the human reproductive drive, like it used to be......................What has happened is that we have taken the place of God, we are interfering with nature and they are not falling in step with our tech!!!!!!!!!!

Babies are not punishments they are blessings. A healthy baby is even a greater blessing.   Lord help us, autism, peanut allergies, ADD, childhood cancers, why????????? think about it,    birth control, putting it off, the list is long, but I think abortions, embryonic implants, STd's etc. are messing with mother nature.

Don't mess with God stuff.

Cass Sunstein is a eugenic POS, down with Cass.

@ sully, Sunstein is probably the most radical of all the radical czars that Obama picked. Anti-gun, anti-hunting, he wants forced euthanasia, forced organ harvesting, the right for animals to sue and have attorneys represent them, all the wacky lib stuff.
