Two Talking Doors

Published:

You approach two talking doors. One door leads to the City of Truth, while the other door leads to the City of Liars. You do not know which door is which. You are able to ask only one question to determine which door is which. The door that leads to the City of Liars always speaks lies, while the door that leads to the City of Truth always speaks the truth. You want to go to the City of Truth. What question do you ask to determine which door leads to the City of Truth?

Ask one of the doors if it has ever told a lie. If it answers yes, you know that it's the door to the City of Truth. If it answers no, you know that it's the door to the City of Liars.
Then again, the door to the City of Truth always speaks the truth......
Beats me! LOL.

Asking any simple math question should solve this.

"if i were to ask the other door, which door would it tell me it was?" if you are talking to the door of truth - it will tell you 'lies'. if you are talking to the door of lies ' it will lie and tell you 'lies'. regardless... the answer you get will tell you which door is NOT the door of truth... so choose the door not mentioned.

The question would be: What door leads to the city of truth..

Ask a door - "Do both doors lead to the city of truth?" If the answer is no, it's the truth door. if the answer is yes, it's the liars' door.
