The Quote of the Decade

Published:

I agree completely with the quote.  This is a tough one to claim that it was taken out of contex !
Be sure to check out where the "quote" came from

The Quote of the Decade:

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."
~
Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Pass it on 'til eternity..  (.. .it was so nice of him to give us this great quote for posterity!) SO, USE IT!!!

As has been said, his new slogan is Forward - because he just doesn't want to look back.

If it had been me, I'd have included a link to a credible source. Something like
http://origin.www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/CREC-2006-03-16/pdf/CREC-2006-03-16-pt1-PgS2236.pdf
(page 2, S.2237, second half of middle column)
