One person said, in their comments on down the script, "Awful timing" and I agree. However, I'll reserve detailed commentary until more facts and details surface. For right now, I can say that if you have any type of weapon on your person that the officer can see and you're approaching the officer while disobeying commands, prolly gonna be lights out for ya. The officer must protect himself as well, and, who knows whether or not the guy with the knife was a very good 'knife thrower." He could've possibly thrown it and injured or killed the officer. Sounds like the guy was high on something, anyway, in the midst of robbing the store. He was wrong for robbing the store, period. But, he was also caught and the primary suspect equipped with a weapon. Could the officer have tased him? Could he have shot to disable?

This is how you rationalize an incident with limited details...as opposed to jumping on the all cops are all right all the time every time bandwagon...or all wrong all the time. I'm sure the cop hated to do such a thing with everything else going going 'around the corner.' Hey, right now, it is what it is until video is released for proof. I stand in recess.

Yeah, the creep with the knife is coming at people and just to jump on the protester bandwagon people there were also chanting No Justice No Peace.
