I wouldn't mind winning a $200,000 jackpot. =)

I wonder why this Fantasy 5 winner is so newsworthy? Yeah, they make a lot of bottled water in Zephyrhills, but still. Fantasy 5 has has plenty of quarter-million dollar winners.

You only need one ticket to win. But you'll win more with one hundred.

Ohio Rolling Cash5 may have a $383,000 winner tonight and if it is me I would think it would be news worthy.

That is a nice amount of money.  I know when Fantasy 5 in GA is sizable it does get talked about.  That could be why the story made news.

The Fantasy 5 in GA used to have large JP's but since they started awarding a free QP play for matching 2 of 5, the JP gets hit MUCH more often with lower amounts. As low as $13 K and the highest I've seen recently is $300K.

We have not seen a Million dollar JP in a very long time.

Prior to the change, it was fairly regularly.

ITA. I like to read about the big winners and the smaller ones. Plus a LP winning a small or large jackpot would be newsworthy on Lottery Post.

Is the EZ match starting to lose it's appeal? The jackpot was averaging over $300,000.00 every night. Now it's on a downward trend. It won't be too long before it's back to the old averages of $175,000.00 to $200,000.00 per draw again. They should take the money they made off of the EZ match and pad the jackpot for the Fantasy 5.  Ponder

The free QP prize definately had something to do with it (and was something they needed for a long time). But the primary reason is the fact so much of money that once went to the jackpot now goes to the 3/5 and 4/5 prizes. A smaller % of sales in the jackpot means smaller rollovers and smaller jackpots. But really, most of us will probably never win a jackpot of any kind, but we will most likely win a 3/5 here and there (if we play). So I like it when the winnable amounts get a good chunk of the prize pool.

You only need one ticket to win. But you'll win more with one hundred.
