Iowa Lottery Unveils Chocolate-Scented Tickets
Iowa Lottery: Iowa Lottery Unveils Chocolate-Scented Tickets
Iowa's lottery customers may get a chocolate craving when they buy their tickets next week. The Iowa Lottery will begin selling chocolate-scented "Sweet Rewards" instant scratch-off cards Monday. The Sweet Rewards tickets are $1 scratch-off game cards with a Valentine's Day theme, according to the agency's news release. Winnings range from $1 to $200. When a player scratches off the game card, a chocolate smell is emitted, the news release said. "The tickets may be good enough to eat, but remember that theyre made out of paper and if you eat them you'll never know if you won a prize," said Iowa Lottery CEO Ed Stanek in a statement. The Iowa Lottery first began release scented tickets in November 2000, with its Easy as Pie scratch-off cards that smelled like pumpkin pie.

All they need now is a chocolate bar brand to sponsor the tickets.
What a place to advertise with their logo!

I snicker at your suggestion. However, I hope the payday for this game is not zero. Perhaps 100,000 grand, or somewhere twix the two amounts. If you win just hold on to your ticket and don't be a butterfingers.

First they have the electronic scratch tickets, now they have Scratch & Sniff tickets?! They are trying to appeal to kids. And they're in a 4-way tie for highest age in the world (LA, AZ and Malaysia are the others at 21). I guess they're milking the fact that only applies to purchases for all it's worth.

Country folk demand tickets that smell like Possum Belly Stew! How long will we be denied? This is an outrage!
