Hi all! I am a new member to this foum. As a frequent lottery player of both state and multi-state drawings I was prompted to join this forum as well as the petition to eliminate computerized drawing. I am from from Louisiana, which from the institution of its lottery in 1992 has always used computerized drawings. As many may know Louisiana is somewhat notorious for its political corruption and its spicy politics, hence a state that might instantly come under the radar of suspicion with regards to lottery integrity. Further the state had a lottery from 1868 -1893. In short it was deemed corrupt after it moved out of the US and continued selling tickets via US mail illegally! This was after the giant, far-reachung company came under pressure by anti-gambling forces. Obviously that was a different time but coruption is not a thing of the distant past here - an ex governor and other high-ranking officials are currently jailed for corruption! The point is not to air the state's dirty laundry but that this is definitely a place where lottery credibility is of the utmost importance. I commend all who put the petition in motion and will lend my unwaivering support to "player-governed" lotteries.

Peace

Now if only they could eliminate computerized voting.

It all depends on what you call live Television coverage - like with votes with paper trail, it all depends on how the votes are counted ...

you know. i never got a response from PA about their mid-day drawings.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.
