A Cape Coral, Florida shopper bought the only winning ticket in Saturday's $14 million Florida Lotto jackpot, lottery officials announced Sunday.

The winner, who had not come forward by Sunday night, bought the ticket at the Publix at 1016 Cape Coral Parkway.

Saturday's winning numbers were 7-13-26-28-34-43.

"There's been a lot of excitement with the associates," said Scott Brown, the store's customer service manager. "They've been discussing it with customers. They're excited."

Store officials learned on Sunday that their machine produced the winner. Because of Florida Lotto's new machines, stores no longer can tell right away where the winning ticket came from, Brown explained.

Hearing the news Sunday was bittersweet for some employees, though.

"All of them have been complaining they didn't buy a ticket," Brown said.

This is the first time the store, which sells about 250,000 Lotto tickets a year, has been the retailer of such a big winner. The closest success was two years ago when the store sold a Fantasy 5 ticket worth $130,000, Brown said.

The Cape Coral Lotto ticket was the only one to match all six numbers Saturday, but a total of 121 tickets matched five numbers to win $4,171.50; 6,506 tickets matched four numbers for $63; and 123,676 tickets matched three numbers for $4.50, lottery officials said.

The next Lotto drawing, which will have an estimated $3 million jackpot, is 11 p.m. Wednesday.
