ok almost a 100 years of statehood waiting for a chance to stroll into local mom & pops anytown,oklahoma and buy a freaking lottery ticket, and we are this close to get the powerball rolling in the sooner state. The last thing I want to hear is the republicans dragging their feet! its time to take this state back! go play bingo you dang republicans!

Well here in Georgia it's our highly innovative Republican governor and legislature in favor of selling lottery tickets online, and Democrats reluctant to make a move into the 21st century.   

Maybe those Democrats are looking out for those mom and pop stores that may lose the revenues from the winning tickets that they may no longer sell. humm

The whole Republican-Democrat thing (as to who supports lotteries and who doesn't) is a load of garbage.  Some places Democrats support the lottery, and some places they don't.  Same goes for Republicans.  Some people will look for instances were the party they oppose takes an opposing viewpoint on the lottery and generalizes about the entire party.  Nonsense.

I suspect the real issue is the Indian casino lobby.  They don't want the competition from a lottery.  They even advertise like crazy here in Amarillo trying to drag us over the line to Clinton to gamble.  Casinos hate competition.  That is why Nevada doesn't have a lottery.
