I like Powerball over Mega Millions (I guess it's because it's played in TN and since I live close to the border we've either play MM or The Big Game for a long time).  I do play GA's Mega Millions when the jackpots get high.  (Kinda like Tuesday's).

How are you going to win if you don't play?

Didn't PowerBall increase the number field recently? I know it's a 5/53 (our Lottery is a 6/53) maybe it was the PowerBall they increased.I know Mega-Millions increased the number Matrix for the Mega Ball those 2 games are very hard to analyse so if we did join any of them I probably wouldn't play. It's best too just buy quick-picks unless you can afford to Wheel a lot of numbers.

Powerball is going to change their Matrix but I forgot when.  (I think August 29 or something like that).  Anyway, I only play powerball or MM when jackpots are high.  As for wheels or QP or whatever I don't wheel.  I always pick my numbers randomly.  I don't play QP because everytime I do I always end up with some very bad numbers like 1-2-3-9-10 PB 1.  LOL atleast I wouldn't have to worry about anyone else winning the JP.

How are you going to win if you don't play?

I think powerball would be best for FL.  (Anyone else sense another matrix change if FL joins?).  FL's lotto is ok,however, it seems like everyother draw someone wins it.  Not really a jackpot ruled lottery if you ask me.  Also, powerball and the FL lotto would be played on the same night.  That could be bad for FL lotto if they do add powerball.  If I was FL's director this is what I would do:

1. Join Powerball. 2. Move Mega Money drawings to Monday and Thursday Nights.  3. Move the FL lotto to Tuesday and Friday Night. 4. Take out the $2 million MAX jackpot for Mega Money.  5. Add a cash option to Mega Money.  6. Add midday drawings to Fan 5, cash 3, and Pick 4.  The Florida Lottery is a great lottery and when I move to Mobile, AL in August I'll have to drive a little and try it out.

Mega Money has a cash option.

I'm just afraid that they'll go to RNG's to "save money" to make up for the games' higher payouts. It would be a shame to see America's premier state lottery go the route of dishonesty.

I've contacted the FL Lottery Commision on that issue before, they say there are no plans on eliminating there Draw Machines because it would create a problem with PLAYER confidence in the games if a Random Number Generator were used.

If this state wants too keep the Games popular and profitable changing over to RNG's like other states would be a serious mistake so I doubt that it would happen also there would be Tremendous opposition from the Public and Political Officials.

A lottery that actually cares about it's player confidence! If they really do think that, all they need are some Criterions and some Powerball and they would hit the pinnacle of lottery quality (once they increase the payouts of course).

They should join Megamillions then move the drawings for Megamoney to the same night as Megamillions and make sure that the playslips look very similar. Then we can hear the horror stories of morons living in palm beach whining that they really meant to play megamillions not megamoney.

Well, Florida won't be able to join Mega Millions, and even if they could they'd probably still join PB to get Georgia players over the border. Of course, joining Powerball would necessitate an overhaul of draw nights. Lotto would need to move to Tuesdays and Fridays, and Mega Money would need to move to Mondays and Thursdays. At least that's what they'd need to do to keep people playing on those games. And anyway, with these required higher payouts, what will Florida do about Powerball, which will continue paying 50%. Maybe put the extra 10% in a bonus fund for Powerball promotions, like a occasional PowerPlay doubler where 2x means 4x, 5x means 10x, that kind of thing. Oh, I'm getting the shakes just thinking about the idea of PowerPlaying back home in Tampa (where speaking of PowerPlays, is home to the World Champion Tampa Bay Lightning, GO BOLTS!).
