Mega Millions jumped $9 million last draw. I wouldn't call that a bad jump for the jackpot being only $41 million now.
Agree - not a bad jump. But it has been slow coming this time around. No where near what happened the first draw after CA was part of the mix. During the last draw, I kept saying, if I can't win, then some one from CA should win. We need to keep them attracted to the lure. Every con artist knows, the happier you make the sucker feel, the bigger the take.

I only trust myself - and that's a questionable choice

I will finally be able to change my name here at LP, to Pick3forNC!!!!!!! NAHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'll probably stay a S.C. Player. I live near the border anyway & they already have a few yrs of historical numbers to compare & work with. But being a NC'linian, I am VERY GLAD that we will have one to call our own.

It looks close enough to passing for another round of letters to legislators:
1. MegaMillions rather than Powerball
2. No computerized drawings!
(both points made in the first round also but need to refresh their memories!)
Congrats NC on being one step closer!

This thread has become the "DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN" of lottery news stories.

You've got to check the facts before you just start making news. This is huge loss of credibility on whoever made this story.

If you check the source it is Charlotte Observer, but I really don't think they've lost any credibility. They reported the news of the day.
If anyone lost credibility, it's the Democrats in the N.C. Senate, who thought they had the lottery sewn up. Now they have egg on their faces.
