You don't want Lotto South- It is bad.

Does anyone remember what they were doing September 17 ? That is the last time the JP was hit on Lotto South. The JP has rolled 26 times and it is only at $25 million. This is a piss poor pick six game. Not enough states and certainly not enough tickets sold.

People play it B/C of the need to play something on Wed and Sat besides pick 3 and 4, but the participation is low.

 I think NC just wanted to get off to a quick bang with the PB , but I agree the progression that most States follow for some reason is not being done in NC.

Politics.Plain and simple.Gotta protect the people from managing their own money.The state wants their people to be sheep.They "protected" us for over 20 years from the "Evil lottery" so we wouldn't all go broke playing it.All the while,the state was taxing us into poverty,and still is.

Where is everyone getting that NC isn't going to get pick3 or pick4?  From what I have been reading, the progression is going to be Scratchers -> PB -> daily numbers.  From what I have heard NC is just not going to start up a 5 or 6 number in state lotto.

To the person who was upset about NC getting PB because we lose the SC money, are you insane?  I would much rather have the money from VA coming south for PB than the few SC players coming north for MM.  If there were that many SC lottery players, why is the entire state panicking about losing the NC money? 

If you notice,most of them are in the Charlotte area.They wanted the convenience of having both games within a few miles of each other.

There is still some confusion if NC will have Pick3 and Pick4,it may be Pick3 or Pick4.It would be nice if that was straighten out on the NC website.

I for one was hoping for MM.  I don't mind driving the 5miles to the border of SC to get PB tickets.  Is there any way for MM & PB to be in one state????  I know wishful thinking.

I can't believe they not going to have pick 3 and pick 4 thinking its not going to do well. Pick 3 and Pick 4 is the only reason I wanted NC lottery, i very seldom play for MM or PB. I do some good on scratch, but not enough. My hobby is Pick 3. NC beginning to make me sick with this lottery, I almost rather they did'nt approve it, since its going to be this foolish. Oh yea now I am becoming one of those complaining people. Also no I don't want computerized drawings.

I for one will still support the lottery and its effort go get the games up and running.I REFUSE to give any quarter to the conservatives who lap up any negative attitudes towards our lottery.It is exactly what they want.They will claim that more people really never wanted the lottery in the first place.Bull,they only want NO ONE to have the lottery.I will not aid them in their non-sence.I support the NC Lottery 100%.

I support the NC lottery 100 % too but not until I know whether we'll have pick 3.  If not they will not get not one penny from me.  I'm not interested in powerball and scratch offs. 

I am very disappointed about having to get the PB instead of MM!  I for one would have liked to have kept  the money in the carolinas. We truly did not need to work against SC which means I was so looking forward to not having to drive to virginia for tickets.  I only live 45min from there.  I never really cared anything about the pick 3 or 4.  My game is the cash 5, I have won several hundreds of dollars in playing that game but not a major prize as of yet but its coming. The NC lottery officials are probably happy about it though because to them, virginians will come here to play MM.  Face it people were not going to be happy with whatever they chose. 

mega millions will probably never let another state join ever again.there won't be too many more state lotteries forming and if they do it'll be with them joining powerball.......

MM might reconsider if it loses California next year. But with Oklahoma and North Carolina joining Powerball, nowhere else is on the horizon.

i am all for the powerball,i live 10 minutes from virginia,and play mega millions and lotto south every week.i dont know what n.c. will do on their other games,but powerball was a good move in my opinion.

You aren't going to like the game replacing Lotto South, if it doesn't have a cash option.
