North Carolina LotteryNorth Carolina Lottery: N.C. Lottery opens period for advertising bids

The North Carolina Education Lottery opened the bidding Wednesday for its advertising contract.

The 86-page request for proposal states the lottery commission intends to hire only one firm to help market scratch-off ticket games, which are projected to begin in early April, and automated numbers games, which could start in mid-June.

Firms must have their bids to the commission by Jan. 27, according to the tentative schedule released by the commission. Finalists will be announced Feb. 1, and the commission wants to make its choice Feb. 13.

Companies seeking to operate the scratch-off ticket and online games must file their bids by 4 p.m. Friday. The winning vendors are expected to be chosen in early February.

NC needs to focus on getting started, and not worry about any more roadblocks, from the radical right or whatever.

automated numbers games I am assuming this is the computer draws that we don't want because it can definetly be fixed by the state. Why is my state behaving so badly with this lottery????

PatriotNo Pamelab, the automated numbers games is not computerized drawings.  That's what I thought at first.  It's the machines that print the scratch off tickets.  I don't know why they use that jargon.

The computerized drawing are called RNG for random number generater.
