we now have a lottery.i feel though we are being cheated but i guess we shouldn't complain. with the way it is set up it will not stop us from crossing the borders to the north and south of us. they offer the chance to play more than just scratch offs.

they act like they are doing us a favor.

we do appreciate but lets get real north carolina.

to all the do gooders why worry when its not your money, the last time i checked this is supposed to be america and a free country.

if you don't want to play then don't buy a ticket and leave us alone that do.if you don't rain on our parade we won't rain on yours.

some of you complaining is proably some of the same ones sneaking across the border. noone is perfect and if so there is no place for them in this earth. so whether we play the lottery or what every one does something.

I scratched all of the NC Lottery Tickets. Won $25 on Tic Tac Toe and $1 and $2 here and there on all but the the $5 tickets which did not give up ANYTHING except one free ticket. 

I'm down $12.  I don't think the $5 tickets are going to be giving up much because I scratched 5 tickets and got Jack and another person scratched 5 tickets and got Jack.  I had no luck with the $2 Black Jack ticket either.  You can't even beat a dealer hand of 17.  The $2 and $5 I am going to avoid but play the other $1 tickets.  You can win up to $5000 on the $1 ticket.

Yes the winning tickets do have the amount won code on them for instance $25 is T W F and when you win a ticket it is T I C.

I put in $20 into several different tickets:

$6 into the $1 Tic-Tac-Toe: $1 won

$5 into the $1 NC Education Lottery: $7 won

$4 into the $2 blackjack: $0 won

$5 into the $5 $100000 ticket: $10 won

Down $2 not bad...was fun though.

Online games soon: May 30th Powerball, numbers game in the fall.

Since the tickets went on sale this morning in NC, 1 person has won 5,000. I don't know where but I sure wish it was me. I only bought a couple of tickets. I didn't win a darn thing. I am just waiting for the number games to get started. I hope they come out with a pick 4 and pick 5 game. Good luck to every1! Happy Scratching!

NC LOTTERY TICKET PURCHASE REPORT:

ALL BRAND NEW PACKS: Players make a note- The first time that a game is played the first ticket in the pack is listed as a VOIDED ticket therefore there will be no ticket number starting with 000.  The first valid ticket on a new game pack is 001.  I quetioned the store manager where I purchased the tickets and this was the rule. Only with NEW GAMES will you see this. 

8 - $5 TICKETS : 1 $20 WINNER, 1 $10 WINNER ( Total win $30)

10 - $2 BLACK JACK TICKETS: 1 $21.00 WINNER, 1 $14 WINNER, 2 $7 WINNERS (This I would say is the best buy so far.) TOTAL WIN $49.00

10 - $1 Lighthouse:  Won 2 free tickets and 1 $1 winner. (Won't buy anymore of those.)

10 - $1 TIC TAC TOE: Won 2 $1 tickets. (Won't buy those anymore either. or maybe when I want to waste a dollar I'll buy one.)

I expect the hype to die down within the next couple of months and the lower payouts will start.

Uh,tomorrow is March 31st,not April 1st.They'd have to wait two days .I'm sure they didn't want that association  with a brand new lottery.

NC have sold over 6 millions dollars in scratch offs and paid out over 1 million in prizes.  I think that takes care of the start up cost in less than one day. 

Congrats to NC for being the 42nd Lottery in the U.S.  I hope that when Powerball gets there that you make my jackpots nice and big for me to win.-weshar75

My dad got me two tickets (the $5 one & the black jack one) & I won $20 on the $5.....I'm happy with that .

I didn't win anything with that black jack scratch off.

Over $10 million in sales for the first day, that is the current estimate.  So much for any plans to stop the lottery in court.

Only spent $5 today; 2 NCELs, 1 Tic Tac Toe and 1 Blackjack.

Won a free ticket on one of the NCELs.

Felt so weird buying tickets without having to go to Myrtle Beach.
