The multi-state game's $204 million jackpot is $164 million more than the next-largest worldwide lottery jackpot — Florida Lotto's $40 million grand prize. (Both games will conduct their drawings tomorrow at 11:00 PM Eastern Time.) Even though the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday, three lucky tickets in DC, Iowa, and North Carolina each won $800,000 with Power Play. A total of 952,566 players across the nation won more than $13.6 million in prizes in "America's Game". Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Wednesday's drawing the jackpot grew to an estimated $204 million. The cash option for the Saturday, August 5th drawing will be an estimated $92.7 million. The numbers drawn Wednesday evening were 10, 13, 16, 19, 24 and the Powerball was 15. The Power Play multiplier was 4. Seventeen tickets correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $200,000. These winning tickets were purchased in Colorado (2), DC (1), Delaware (1), Iowa (1), Indiana (2), Minnesota (1), Missouri (2), North Carolina (1), New Mexico (1), Pennsylvania (1), Vermont (1), Wisconsin (2), and West Virginia (1). The three lucky tickets in DC (1), Iowa (1), and North Carolina (1), not only matched the 5 white numbers, but also purchased the Power Play option multiplying the $200,000 prize by 4 for a total win of $800,000. Sixty-nine tickets matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000 each. Thirteen additional winners of that prize category also purchased the Power Play option, giving them a total win of $40,000 each. More than 150,000 winning Powerball players multiplied their prize by 4 Wednesday. They were able to do that by purchasing the Power Play option for one dollar. With Power Play you multiply your Powerball winnings 2-5 times, except for the jackpot. At the beginning of each drawing a wheel is spun to select that night's multiplier. Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels. Players purchased more than $40.2 million worth of tickets between Sunday and Wednesday night. The lotteries sold $2.8 billion in Powerball tickets in FY06. That translates into more than $800 million for worthwhile state projects. Lottery Post Staff We'd love to see your comments here! Well looks like my powerball jackpot will be coming home to Eugene, Oregon this saturday. "Stop and Shop" on W 18th ave is the place they will announce on sunday that has sold the winning ticket and of course I will be the winner. But Since I am a jerk I will refuse the press conference and I will not give my permission to be a poster child like some lottery winners have. I just want the money not the three ring circus that the lottery, the media, the freaks of this world try to attach to it.-weshar75

I may go to Oregon to buy tickets also, 6 hours. Man what a trip! I wonder will it worth it? It does seem to me that driving 6 housr for a powerball ticket, is just plain silly. Go to betslips.com and place your order there. They charge $2.00 for a $1.00 ticket, but even at that, its cheaper than paying for gas at $3.00+ per gallon on a six hour trip, at 19MPG sounds like about $50.00 round trip, not including the cost of the lottery. My math says, play on betslips, save yourself some time not driving for six hours, and remember you got this information from me when you win. A small million should express sufficient gratification IMHO..

I just discovered a great thing with powerball and MM, on the bet slips you can play several drawings ahead. Saving me a couple trips to PA, in case it rolls over.

man o man thats a long drive to just get some tickets...........not to mention the drive back home thats a total of 12hrs. Then if you figure in the time that you spend in the store and getting gas and getting something to eat......thats really gonna turn out to be about a 13.5hr trip. Do you know anyone that you can trust that lives in a powerball state that can buy the tickets and mail them to you? waiting patiently for my jackpot

The Louisiana Lottery allows players to play several drawings ahead as well. My pool at work buys tickets for 4 drawings every payday. PrisonerSix
