Minn. Lottery chief named head of North American association

Executive Director Clint Harris of the Minnesota State Lottery has been elected president of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries.

The 52-member organization is made up of government-sponsored lotteries from the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Harris was selected this month at the NASPL's annual meeting in Chicago. His term runs through October 2007.

Among his goals, Harris cited moving forward with the development of initiatives to standardize lottery practices and processes.
