Sales of the North Carolina lottery's new pick 5 lotto game will begin today.

By matching all five numbers in the "Carolina Cash 5" game, players can win a top prize of at least $50,000.

WRAL-TV in Raleigh will show the daily drawings at about 11:22 p.m. and it will be aired on partner stations around the state.

The North Carolina Education Lottery must give at least 35 percent of its net revenues to education programs around the state. The lottery made a $95 million transfer to a special education fund last week.

    Too bad it's not like South Carolina's c-5 ... Prize offering is not too good ... but yes I will play anyhow because .......
