24 days left and still more than 250,000 tickets remain. I wouldn't call that "going fast", but the GA lottery officials might. DD

Does seem like the raffle lotteries offer the best odds; probably why they sell out so fast.

I agree, Dumars 798--- They will not sell all 500,000 tickets by 12/31. However, they will not have the drawing until all are sold, so who knows how long that will be... DD

Let's just say for discussion sake as of the drawing cutoff time on December 31st they have sold 450,000 tickets. That would leave 50,000 tickets unsold, those numbered 450,001 to 500,000. Do they still do the drawing on the December 31st? If so do they just make it from a pool of 450,000? Are all the prizes still offered?

From the Ga lottery website : Note the last sentence.............. When will the drawing take place? The Millionaire Raffle will take place on December 31, 2006. Draw results for the $1 million and $100,000 prize levels will be announced during the 6:59pm CASH 3 Evening drawing on December 31, 2006. Click here for a list of official lottery draw stations. These results ($1 million & $100,000 prize levels) will be available on the Georgia Lottery's Player Information Hotline and Winning Numbers Reports generated at retailer locations. Complete results of the 509 winning raffle numbers will be available on the GLC web site at www.galottery.com and will also be mailed to retailers for posting.
In the event that all 500,000 raffle tickets are not sold by December 30, 2006, the GLC may extend sales and the drawing date until all tickets are sold.

Would expect many raffle tickets to be last minute stocking stuffers, also bought with money received as Christmas gifts so a rush on them the last week. Good luck to all holding those tickets or contemplating buying them!!! Good luck to everyone!
