Lottery players who love Quinto have until March 17 to play the card-themed draw game, Washington's Lottery announced Thursday.
The game is ending partially because customers have asked for different games, Chris Liu, the lottery director, said in a statement.
"We always look for new and exciting ways to bring Washington more chances to win and give more players a winning experience," he said.
People can buy tickets for Quinto until 7:45 p.m. on that Saturday for the drawing, which will take place at 8 p.m.
Holders of winning Quinto tickets can redeem them 180 days after a draw date. That gives winners of the final draw until Sept. 13 to redeem tickets.
Quinto began in 1990 and has raised over $570 million for Washington state, the lottery reported.
Washington's Lottery will launch a new draw game on March 18, making it the first of its kind in more than three years. Officials will announce the new game in coming weeks.
Since 1982, Washington's Lottery has raised over $2.4 billion for various state programs, including education construction, economic development and stadium debt reduction.
A lame 5/39 game. Now we can have two games with low jackpots instead of just one. The WA state lottery just seems like a long downhill slide. Their scratch games are ok and the lucky for life scratch is popular but when it comes to online games they just keep screwing up.
If they were really interested in what players want they would bring back televised ball drawings.
Quinto had some good jackpots including a 4.7 million cash pot. If they brought back lotto plus it would be better but the future line up just makes playing somewhere else more attractive.

i agree with you that it is a lame game. IT IS THE ONLY GAME THAT I WON 2ND PLACE!!! I WAS ONE CARD AWAY FROM 2.4 MILLION. well i have heard that line from other quinto winnners.

While I never won 2nd place in Quinto you can bet you won't be seeing a 2.4 million pot with the new game. I agree that lotto is just too lame. The Canadian 6/49 game has great jackpots on occation but the WA state lotto is just a joke.
I think the hit 5/39 game will rarely if ever make it to $1 million. Personally I hope the gold ball does come back but with the current leadership in Olympia you can forget any good ideas like that.
