Best chance ever of hitting the Kentucky Lottery for a millions bucks is nearly sold out

A pair of new millionaires will be created on the morning of March 19th, when the Kentucky Lottery will hold the Million Dollar Draw.

Tickets for the raffle-style game went on sale January 1st, and there are less than 19,000 tickets remaining.  A maximum of 500,000 tickets will be sold for the Million Dollar Draw — once ticket number 500,000 is sold, the game ends and players will wait until the 19th to learn if they've won.

If all the tickets are sold, the odds of winning one of two $1 million cash prizes will be 1 in 250,000, the best odds ever by the Kentucky Lottery for a shot at a million dollars.

Until they're gone or the game ends, players can purchase their Million Dollar Draw tickets from any on-line Kentucky Lottery retailer. Players will not be able to choose their own numbers for this game.

On March 19th, a random number generator will draw 734 winning numbers.  The first two numbers drawn will be the winning ticket numbers for the pair of $1 million cash prizes.

The next two numbers drawn will be entitled to the second prize of $50,000; the next 30 numbers drawn will be entitled to the third prize of $10,000; and the next 700 numbers drawn will be entitled to the fourth prize of $500.

When the winning numbers have been drawn, the numbers for the $1 million and $50,000 winners will be available at all Kentucky Lottery retailers.

"With players who had purchased Million Dollar Draw tickets when sales began in early January getting anxious, we thought the best decision was to set a draw date for the popular raffle game," said the Kentucky Lottery's Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing Steve Casebeer.  "We're looking forward to creating a couple of new millionaires, and we're happy with how players have responded to the game."

A complete list of winning numbers will be available via the Kentucky Lottery website and the Kentucky Lottery's winning numbers hotline at 1-502-583-2000.  The numbers will also be published at Lottery Post's Kentucky Lottery Results page.

I wasn't gonna get a ticket but with all the hooplah, I broke down and bought 1 ticket. Wouldn't it be something if I won a million with just 1 ticket purchased. I feel good with my 1 ticket.

I love doubles and remember, it's just a game!!!!!!
