Kentucky Lottery's new '3 Line Lotto' starts next Monday

Kentucky Lottery's new '3 Line Lotto' starts next Monday

Kentucky Lottery

Starting next week, the Kentucky Lottery will offer its latest game, 3 Line Lotto, which takes the place of the old Tic Tac Cash game.

Tickets for the new game will cost $2 each and go on sale across the state next Sunday, April 15, for the first drawing on Tuesday, April 17.  Drawings will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 pm (Eastern Time)/9 pm (Central Time).  The Kentucky Lottery broadcasts the results on local television stations approximately one hour later.

With each ticket, players will get 18 numbers — three lines of six numbers each from a field of 1 through 39.

Six numbers will be drawn, and players can win a prize by matching at least three numbers on a single line.

A player who matches all six numbers on a single line wins the jackpot, which starts at $100,000 and increases each drawing it is not won.  The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 3,262,623.

They also can win for matching a total of at least five numbers from any of the three lines.

The Kentucky Lottery dropped Tic Tac Cash in March.

At $2 a ticket and needing to get 18 numbers right, I will not be playing this game. The odds are greater than hitting the powerball and I haven't done so well in that game.

"3 Line Lotto".......just another name for the DE "Multiwin Lotto" game.  PA and Md also have this same game.  The latest scheme by state lotteries to bleed us of our money.  The 2nd and 3rd lines never seem to match any numbers with the first line more than 1 number.  I like to pick my own numbers in lotto, but now I have to pay $2 per play instead of a $1 a play, so I can't use my old system of 8 numbers wheeled in 12 lines to guarantee a 5 of 6 if only 5 numbers are guessed right since the cost is now $24 for that system.

Whoa! You really butchered what the article said. You only have to get 6 numbers on the same row to win the jackpot.

You only need one ticket to win. But you'll win more with one hundred.

That's right, I think it's pretty clear from the article that the game has pretty good odds for a prize of that size:

A player who matches all six numbers on a single line wins the jackpot, which starts at $100,000 and increases each drawing it is not won.  The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 3,262,623.

Good luck!

Now @ last we have a progressive lottery away from Powerball.  If only KY would change Cashball to progressive too like other states have!  Good luck to all.

I really did miss that part. Still, I don't want to pay 2 bucks for a ticket. That is why I don't play scratch offs. They can cost as high as $10 per ticket. No way am I playing that! I figure the less I spend on the small stuff the more I have to spend on the real jackpots like mega millions and powerball. Think about it: If you only got lucky one time in your life, would you want it to be for thousands of dollars or Millions? And all it takes is one time for me to get it right. The only reason I wanted to play the state raffle type is because it is more localized than the others. When KY did theirs, someone was a millionaire winner here in my county. That was a huge morale booster. Someone I know was the winner. TN's draw is in May. I think there could be a winner close by coming up.
