IF I could get one,I would try it.When SC had ours, the winning numbers weren't random, and that was a disappointment.

GEEZ 50 bucks!!!!!!! when does the $100 one start??? the greed of the MSL is appalling at times!! But one thing about Michigan...we can't sell houses, but we can sell the heck out of raffle tickets!!!!!!!!!

Greed? How are they greedy if they're paying out 59% instead of the usual 50%?

well first off the $2million is paid out in an annutity.....not cash! they save $700,000 per winner there. secondly, this sad state of mich is looking to make some quick cash at the expense of those who can least afford it. and before you start giving me all the arguements on gaming I know them all and gamble within a budget.but those who don't look at this as a way of getting out of their sitituation. This state simply put , plays on peoples natural greed. So at $50 a pop....i just beleive that the state of mich. is trying to make extra money off the popularity of the raffle.....there is the greed part. I really hope that this blows up in their face.....but remember the greed part....it won't. because the people are just as greedy as they are....lol

I know the ticket said annuitized but in the press release for January 5, 2007 the website says:

In the single drawing on January 3, 765 raffle tickets were randomly selected to win the following great prizes:

  • 5 grand prizes of $1,000,000 each (annuitized over 20 years or lump sum)

I'm going in with my mother and sister to buy a ticket; I just can't do $50. The only reason I did the $20 was because I knew that there truly was a chance for me to win. Plus, twice before when there were second chance drawings, my enteries were pulled for $1000 each.

I made a detour on my drive from NY to Chicago to pick up three of these. I got them at like 11pm and was shocked I was already in the 100k number ticket area.  These things will be gone by Wednesday.
