Todd, Well, you know.. I think I'll just have to give you one on that last post. I'm pretty sure the fact that as "someone who has reported the news for eight years.." far out-weighs my 32-year career in broadcasting, including stints as TV Anchors, and news director of several radio stations. We won't even discuss my background as a reporter and contributor to major newspapers, magazines and TV networks since the mid-60's. :0) It's pretty obvious that since you own the board, you are correct and anyone with only "13 posts to your name.." is wrong! We won't even discuss the fact that you're sitting in NJ. I'm sure that being that much closer to the Nashville area than I am here in the Knoxville area gives you a leg up as you'd have more access to the facts than I. :) Hope things go well for you. Pete WKRP in Cincinnati?

In all honestly, being from Tennessee I know we have a few simple minded people. This is what I think happened... They guy walked into the store obviously not knowing what the Jackpot was. He bought a few tickets (either lotto 5, cash 3, or cash 4 (Evil games)). He looked at the ticket and saw that the jackpot was $29 million and bought them. He noticed that later on the JP was only $15 million. Felt lied to and of course he wanted some clarity. As far as 15-min of fame? I simply don't know. Could have been looking for attention. Or he could of just only wanted his money back. Either way the Tenn Lottery's integrity continues to decline. We will see I guess.... I hate to say it but I think Becca will retire SOON!!! Any other takers on that bet? How are you going to win if you don't play?

Any other takers on that bet? She's trying to rectify a problem by placing the blame elsewhere this could be a career disaster as that is what many people do when they have put themselves in the thick of it. My guess is she has relegated some of here former duties to subordinates and they in turn cause some problems. While ultimately it is her responsibility to answer for any wrong doings she must have been to busy counting her big bonuses to pay any attention to what was really happening. I don't think she'll retire you don't walk away from a 3 digit salary and triple digit bonus's.

Any other takers on that bet? I think you hit the nail on the head, although it's anyone's guess what the director will do. I would tend to agree with four4me on that -- it's difficult to walk away from a big salary like that. She should do the right thing and reinstate real drawings. She'd be a hero.

Some TN lawmakers have shown in the past they aren't Becca fans and she has been in the thick of things including the bashing she got from her bonus. A lot of lawmakers disagree with how much she is getting to do her job. Interesting. I don't think she will walk away right now; however, I think stress will get the better of her in the long run. Just give it some time. How are you going to win if you don't play?

Just give it some time. The board members also have some responsibility in this according to the statements below
| State law authorizing the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation calls for a seven-member Board of Directors to oversee the lottery's creation and ongoing operation. The Board, comprised of business people from across the state, meets regularly to set policy and maintain appropriate oversight. | |
| | | Click here for the latest Board Schedule | | If you have any concerns, questions or comments regarding TEL management's compliance with any policy or law, you can reach the Lottery Board of Directors directly via email at BOD@tnlottery.com. Inquiries can be submitted anonymously and confidentially. All inquiries are received and reviewed by TEL's independent Internal Audit Department and will be responded to as quickly as possible. All accounting, audit or internal control concerns will be addressed by the Board's Audit Committee. |
