There is no deterrent to a crime for which the person committing it "won't get caught". I should stop posting! Again, I made a typo that changes the entire sentence. I meant to write "Vegetarians are not the only protesters against cruel and inhumane treatment of livestock." grrr.

The Chinese minister of Food could have committed suicide by eating one of their own products or playing with certain beads. I didn't even know they HAD a Lottery in China (called the Welfare??? Lottery, sounds like something the govt. here would try) I don't get how their drawings operate, how do you put in the #s "before" they are announced, somehow he knew what came out before they put it on the Telescreens?

I would picked Death Penalty rather than life in Jail. I heard Chinese prison were 10 times worse than American jails. look at my last post...oops

i would think about this when you drink a glass of milk in the states. there was a report w5 ( a canadian investigative news show) about how almost all of the rest of the world is telling the usda to stop using whatever the us gives to the milk cows. its either hormones or steroids(i cant remember which) because all of these other countries have done studies that show it is cancer causing for humans to drink that milk. i guess the farmer who can boost his milk production by 10 times doesn t really care though. i can see why the us( with its huge population) needs more food but do they really need to force some cancer into you too? just thought i would share this in case some of you didn t know. the show had a real concern for this as well as the fact that americans weren t being told about this, so they hoped airing the info in canada would somehow get it to american public. so contact your congressmen and let them know you dont want to drink cancer.
