NC lottery to begin Pick 3 midday game in spring
NC lottery to begin Pick 3 midday game in springPosted: 12/6/2007 10:25:51 PM The North Carolina Education Lottery wants to begin a midday numbers drawing early this spring. Lottery executive director Tom Shaheen says the "Pick 3" drawing would be performed identically to the numbers drawing held every night. The midday drawing would be held Monday through Saturday. Shaheen says an extra daily drawing would raise more revenues while giving the lottery another opportunity to attract players. Shaheen didn't give an exact start date to lottery commissioners holding their quarterly meeting Wednesday. The announcement comes as the Education Lottery is working to boost sales after the General Assembly changed the law to allow them to increase prize payouts. Shaheen also says the Merry Millionaire Raffle is outselling similar holiday raffles in surrounding states. Source: AP

I'm happy they are doing this and the General Assembly changed the law to allow them to increase prize payouts. I would like to see them bring the drawing at an earlier time. I had stopped playing at the corner store from the very first beginning. I might throw some of my money at them now.

Glad to see the midday pick 3, however, I don't care for the skipped midday draw on Sunday. Why not just keep everything uniform and do it in the spring, so you don't have to change it down the road. We can sell beer and alcohol on Sunday, but we want to be just like SC and skip the midday draw on Sunday......go figure.

Not sure...I just can't see myself sitting in church pulling out the cell to check the midday draw..lol... But I'm very happy for the midday draw. Now I can play and see what hit without staying up all late at night. Everyone that supports the NC lottery should call the hotline and suggest they change the night draw time to 7pm. Now that would be lovely!!!! Have a great day everyone. Thats mi story and I'm sticking with it....

When they say "conducted the exact same way" can we assume that means the same draw machine and ball set?
