Not if you want to live like most Americans in the United States! People have no idea how spoiled we are until they travel.  Some parts of China get very, very cold and people often don't have central heating systems like we are used to.  The big cities in China are expensive. Housing is much more expensive than it is in many areas of the United States. For example, Hong Kong has been one of the most expensive places in the world to live for many years.  It's not uncommon for someone to spend $5 million for a villa in Hong Kong.  No, I haven't live there, so I only know this because of the extensive research I've done on retiring abroad.  I was shocked at what it costs to live well in Asia. I kept seeing ads "live first class at third class costs" but it wasn't true. Someone just wanted to sell a book!  lol

I'd say it's sad to think that dropping out of school means quitting your education, or to think that the limited amount of information in the article offers any basis for forming a realistic opinion.  None of us has a clue whether or not he plans to return later, go to school elsewhere, or educate himself without the benefit of college.

He didn't state what his life goals were. Many people drop out of school for a while to pursue other things and then go back later. There is no set of rules to how one has to get their education.

You would think Tntea would know this since she supposedly is an educator.
