$180 Million Lottery Winners: 'We Want A Regular Life'

      Dont get me wrong,i still would love to buy my 63 spilt rear window vett. And i would also retier in a heartbeat. Maybe even go back to school to learn music,and i wouldn't care if i didn't make a dime doing it. Your died longer then your alove so enjoy it now

While I admire their civility in all of this, I am NOT of their camp  

as poor as my butt is now, I've been DREAMING, locating accountants/lawyers/estate planners and have even gone on sunday house tours [million dollar homes] .. I mean, mama daydreams BIG! I've imagined me in a gaudy fur answering my door in the early morning whilst <-- expect that language to be the norm, whilst waiting on my filet mignon to nicely cook on my george foreman grill [no personal chef for me] --

every time the lotto goes past $50Mill I start with my daydreaming - on who gets what, how to equally divide the rest between my family [what they do with it is on them but no re-ups] - then put some in the hidden Swiss account and $1Mil in the Caymans .. I mean, I'm a retarded nutt [not in the george bush sense] as a pawper, I can't WAIT to be retarded with my wealth when I'm RICH! I visit old age homes now to rub my two fake grandmas feet - when I'm rich, that entire home is getting weekly pedicures! even the old lady grandma is always fighting with! I don't care for cars but I would love a Hybrid Lexus [I do care for the earth] - basically, I would go back and get my Masters and my PhD - I will be off on that 104day luxury world cruise - you know, doing research for my dissertation - once the dust has settled, my life would be focused on humanitarian needs - set up my own charity where my people [oh yeah, i'll have people] will go and actually bring the supplies and work in the needed areas - BUT I wouldn't neglect myself or my extravegent flare! first class anywhere I go and the very best of the best in what I eat and wear!

that, to me, is living the Lotto dream - we only get one take at this thing called life and I say LIVE IT UP TO THE FULLEST! going back to "normal" IS NOT PART OF THE MILLIONAIRE DAYDREAMers CREDO!!

oh, and I'd host a dinner for all you knuckleheads who are on this daydreaming with me right now!

I love the fact they want a regular life....I love the fact that they won... no hate in me....but they should have thought bout the regular life before going public....thats pretty much out of there ya diggg....Wish it were me.......Welcome to the party life

It's amazing how many people are totally clueless about what a regular life is. Just because it's not the regular life you can afford doesn't mean it isn't a regular life. The world is full of people who have plenty of money but still live regular lives. I think it was Robin Williams, talking about cocaine just making your personality more pronounced, who wondered, "what if you're already an a$$hole?  Money seldom changes people. An abundance of it just gives them more opportunity to be themselves and do the things they're already been doing, but on a somewhat bigger scale. David Edwards didn't change when he won powerball, his bad decisions just got more expensive.

Having enough money that you don't need to worry about the cost of gas or where the next mortgage check will come from doesn't mean that there are any fundamental changes in who you are or your core values. The people who go out and buy too much house, too many cars, or make other extravagant indulgences already wanted to do that, but just didn't have enough money yet. Plenty of other people come into money and buy a newer car and a nicer houser, and go on a few more or nicer vacations. That doesn't mean that they've changed or that they aren't leading a regular life. Money is just a tool. It's how you use it rather than how much you use that shows what type of person you are.
