I'd rather play on my own as well, I do not want to share a good jackpot with any other players. I have waited too long to win a good prize. Plus it would help with my survival, so that I may have a better life. And not worry about bills, etc,..
regards I agree. I don't think lottery pools are a bad thing, but I've never wanted to join one. I like playing alone and if I win I want to win alone!

I have never played in a work pool and I never will! I'm to greedy, I want it all (for myself) and I want it now..... lol
I guess that's the attitude I have always had (all my life). Keep dreaming the impossible dream, it just may come true! Please remember to support Your Lottery Post Community.

I don't trust lottery pool managers, they could leave the country with the winnings.
Or if I was a lottery pool manger and we won I don't think I could share the 2 or 3 million in my bank account and watch drop to 200,000 and go back to work, i'd want it all to myself and not work again.

I've always said you have just as good a chance of winning on your own as you do in a pool -- the difference being that when you play on your own you get to keep the whole thing.
My advice is to not go out of your way to start a pool. If there's an office pool kicking around then sure, it makes perfect sense to chip in. But don't make it your primary way to play. If you are going to win, you are going to win. Most people win with 5 or less picks. Pools seem to win with 40 picks or more but it seems like more people win as compared to pools. If there is a 1 in a 100,000,000 chance of winning, 40 picks wont do much cause there are still 99,999,960 numbers that you did not cover!

I have a feeling this guy is going to be jumped. He better quit his job and move. With odds like 1 in 175,711,536 how can I lose?!
You can't predict random.

they so jinxed him .. good for him! i NEVER play with the group .. i look at them, say no thanks and go buy my own ticket - i have been known to be messy at times in buying the EXACT numbers as some groups [have my people on the inside] but the most netted was $150 .. but groups, yeah, it always gets sticky with the dividing part, math is guaranteed to get fuzzy!! That would be funny if you copied their numbers and played them yourself and the numbers came up winners. They'd have to split the winnings with you. Only you'd get HALF and they'd have to split their half between however many people in the pool.
I'd had a small two-person lottery pool happening in my office. We never invited anyone else in. She's the only person I would mind splitting the money with.

Great advice!! In Florida you do not have to be in a pool to have the winning numbers split a zillion to one. Example is last nights Fantasy 5 approximate $240,000 jackpot, however. there were eight winners so the jackpot was a little less than $30,000 each, what a bummer.

I'm in an office pool, and I play on my own, If anything good were to happen to me, I for one, wouldn't be smarting off to everyone in the pool.
I hope I'm wrong about this but, he almost makes out like, he never won because he was in the pool. And getting out was the catalyst for him winning.
Congrats to the winner though. I wouldn't be in the pool if I didn't want something good to happen.
