Illinois lottery has 1 winner in $4 million jackpot

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois State Lottery says one player matched all six numbers in Monday night's Lotto drawing, earning a prize of $4 million.

The lottery says the winning ticket was purchased at a mini mart in Mapleton, a village near Peoria. The Lotto grand prize for Wednesday night's drawing resets to $2 million.

Also on Monday, 26 players matched five of the six winning numbers and will receive second prizes of $606.50 apiece.

Another 1,117 players matched four of the six winning numbers - good for third prizes of $25.50.

The winning numbers from Monday night's drawing were: seven, 14, 21, 29, 32 and 40.

It darned on me the third price was $25.50?  Men IL needs to do better than that. Oh yah its a state draw.

Earning -- as in not obligated to "share" it with people who think they are more deserving, needy, or that the holder of the winning ticket simply has the misfortune of having at least one parent in common with. Wink
