Hello  I am a Canadian and I have to let you know how things work here in Canada. First off we do not pay tax after you win, but and here`s the but, they confiscate 53 odd percent right up front, that is why the jackpots do not grow as large as the ones in the U.S. do. We pay the tax up front, funny how everyone is lulled into this fantasy of the lottery, even the politicians will never admit it , so that there is a big fat juicy purse sitting there unattended and guess who is eyeing that money. I just thought I would be the Myth Buster. We pay pretty close to some of the highest taxes in the world .Don`t ever think the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Be happy , If you win would you not be happy. Give me a break.

I don't know if winning a jackpot would make me happy or not,but judging by the smaller amounts that I've won over the years,winning a jackpot would make me more than happy,I'd be ECSTATIC!
