"She told me that she won because of E85," Jay Smith said.

"I was looking for ethanol gas," Pamela said, according to the release. "I actually went inside the gas station to thank the manager for carrying ethanol because it's so hard to find. It was an impulse buy for me to purchase one dollar of Lotto and one dollar of Powerball."

Jay Smith declined comment when reached ans to spend their winnings. Pamela, a speech pathologist with the Mississinewa Community School Corp. in Grant County, expects to return to work today, according to the release.

Lottery officials say it's the third time in less than a month someone has won the Hoosier Lotto jackpot.

That's a cash value of less than half the jackpot amount.  I thought Ohio Classic Lotto cash value at 50% of the jackpot amount before taxes was one of the lowest,  I stand corrected.

Another great proof that you only to spend a dollar to win. Don't burn a hole in your pockets chasing lotto jackpots and you shall hit sooner or later.

It does seem odd as they're both 30 yr annuities. I guess IN does a much better job investing your money for you should you take the annuity option.
