In Australia, players have to option of registering with the state lottery. You present your card when you want to buy tickets. In NSW you can store your numbers on the card, if you want to play the same numbers each week.
With the Players Registration Card, as it is called, your tickets are protected if they are lost or stolen. And, if you win small prizes and don't collect them at the newsagent, the lottery post a cheque to your address. If you win jackpot or large prize they will call you.
