So what you're saying is: She's not a Lucky Player: Just a Thief!
The fundamental problem with making up these stories about Lucky Lottery Winners: Forcing yourself to believe in factual claims for which there is no evidence turns your brain to mush, equipping you only for further acts of self-deception. Practice this habit of mental self-abuse long enough, and you will be left in a desperately enfeebled mental condition, unable to perform the most modest act of factual analysis.
PS: She's a professional caregiver for the ill and elderly. I agree. There was nothing in the article that stated she worked at a store and was cheating. I have no idea why some people have the think the worst of someone just because they happen to have a lucky streak. "No one remembers the person who almost climbed the mountain, only the person who eventually gets to the top." ThatScaryChick

I did NOT make up a story about anyone. What I did was offer one scenario about how she might have won so much money in such a short amount of time.I don't know how many times you have run stories about crooked clerks doing exactly what I described,so I don't see why you got your shorts in a bind about my post! You said "she's probably a clerk". Maybe it's just that you're not very good at writing clearly, but I didn't read it as offering one scenario, but rather as a simple assumption with no reasonable information to support it. As for "crooked clerks, " the scenario I see when I hear somebody suggesting that is one of somebody displaying their complete cluelessness. First, since there is generally no law or lottery regulation (and only rarely a workplace rule) prohibiting clerks from buying tickets where they work, simply buying tickets because they believe it's good time to buy them doesn't make them crooked. Second, the belief that such actions would give them a significant advantage indicates a lack of understanding of typical game odds, probability, or the random distribution of winners.

See I can't think like that Todd...because that means....if she truely is just lucky what does that make me??? I hate to have to tell you, but you're merely normal. The vast majority of lottery players, including you, are somewhere near the middle of the bell curve. A very few are way out at one end or the other. This woman is clearly very close the good end of th ecurve.

She's probably a clerk at a convenience store and only bought tickets after someone bought a bunch of losers and scratched them in front of her. I've heard clerks say they wait for the end of the roll to play. Who knows? Congrats to the winner. I hope she doesn't give it all back. I knew a man who used to win a lot but he played a lot and the odds do play out. It took me a couple of days to read this article. I used to gamble to pay my families medical expenses. My mother had 11 surgeries while my brother was in the hospital with luekemia. My niece also needed surgery. I used my winnings at the black jack table to keep things going and pay the medical bills. I needed $500,000 to take my brother to Israel for an experimental procedure because he was sinking fast and his insurance would not pay for a bone marrow transplant but I could not come up with the money. I had already used up my savings and couldn't win that much. I could win enough to make payments for procedures so the treatments continued but that was in the realm of a miracle. So I prayed and bought lottery tickets. I never won and I couldn't pay for the transplants. My mother and my brother died. I prayed to win once to save them maybe even just one of them but bone marrow and liver transplants are extremely expensive for most people. I have never won even though I play a lot. It has taken years to pay the bills and recover. That's why I have trouble reading about incredible luck of winning so much. The lottery gods are fickle.

Brenda Bailey is still on a roll. Last week, the 60-year-old South Charleston woman claimed her ninth West Virginia Lottery prize, $7,000 in the Gem 7s instant game. That brings her total winnings since last September to $159,000 from five instant tickets. Lottery officials say Bailey has claimed a total $165,800 in prizes from instant and online games since 2000. She's not the only lucky one in the family. Her husband Richard claimed a $6,000 instant game prize in January and a $10,000 prize last September. she must be one of the senior citizens who cash in instant tickets ....because they wont have to pay a high tax ????

One thing I have always known, lottery jackpots never come to the people who desperately need them. Wat I'm saying is even though we all really want to win, if and when faced with a crucial deadline (not the best word choice if I may say so) lottery jackpots will disappoint you like a neighbours wife. And there is nothing like predictability in lottery otherwise store clerks would have been barred from buying lottery tickets. The lottery commissions are not stupid. There is no way they would print tickets with an obvious sequence that store clerks could easily learn.

The lottery gods are fickle. sorry to hear that....My point exactly....There needs to be lottery prediction websites or a system that can win the lottery or a lottery that 50% of the time selects winners carefully, the other 50% it does it randomly... Can you believe people got to overcome 500,000 combinations to ask for help...And you know that there are predictors here in LP who are very good and don't even share their systems... People don't want to believe me when i tell them we live in the movie Red Planet & Lost in Space... you know God knows i cann't stand the story that says: True love: lottery winner reveals secret only after engagement i can't stand that story because is far from the truth, it doesn't portrait the reality of America...People will say Oh sweet WHATEVER, nobody pays attention to jeffrey story...Stories like Jeffrey should not happen in the USA....you can stay without home but you are still alive now hear that story.... even if jeffrey story was not real there are stories like that that happen all across america.... Scientists work on many crazy things: Tell them to work on something that will make elderly women gain weight.

Are you implying that there are LP members who are winning more than a fair share of lotteries and not sharing their winnings or their knowledge? Who are they? If they are predicting, there's a good chance they are not playing all their predictions and their predictions are on the prediction board at least an hour before the drawings so anyone who want to play their predictions are free to do so. I doubt if any of them would be willing to play their predictions and if they win search out needy people to give their winnings to. * THat which happens most * * is most likely to happen again *

Yet nobody is forming a cult of a lot of people to go after the lottery and the jackpots go to the most needed....Winning the lottery can save you.... If 6,000 people where to each contribute 200 dollars a month for 1 year and 4 month, they will all reached 20 million dollars...20 million at 5% is almost 950,000 dollars every year...They can use that money to go after Pick5 or Pick4....With predictors or not...and use the jackpots that they win and give it to the most needed... like create a website advertising the jackpots and ask people to write in 3 or 4 paragraph sus angustias or help, and a panel from the cult comes and reviews each case and if there is a case that needs merit they visit the person and talk to them and review the case and if the person's case is the winner he/she gets the jackpot....nobody has ever thought of this...
