Here's just a little something that I sent to the State of Delaware's Lottery Directory.
Dear Mr. Wayne Lemons,
I am hoping that you will decide to bring Mega Millions to the State of Delaware as a means to keep us faithful lottery players from going to neighboring states such as NJ and MD in order to play Mega Millions. That additional revenue could be something that helps the First State avoid some short comings in the bottom line in our financial future or at the very least lessen the blow somewhat. And with that being said Mr. Lemons, that alone should be enough to make it a priority to bring that possible revenue into the State of Delaware’s coffer than to send it away to some other States coffers like NJ or MD? I can tell you right here and now that MD is going to offer Powerball to their players because they want to keep every dollar they can in their state for their coffers and not let that money flow out of their state to fill another states coffers.
And Mr. Wayne Lemons, I can’t begin tell you how many times I have been in line in a convenience store and heard people ask if they could get Mega Millions tickets not knowing that this is a Powerball State only. And of course the clerk would ask them if they wanted a Powerball ticket instead and the customer would most of the time decline the offer because they only play Mega Millions!
I feel that you Mr. Wayne Lemons would be making a big mistake and not to mention committing a huge disservice to the people of the State of Delaware as the States Lottery Director if you did not do all that you could to also offer the Mega Millions game to the people ASAP when available to do so.
Please Mr. Lemons, do the right thing for the State of Delaware and our states coffer that desperately needs this additional revenue that will be generated by offering the Mega Millions game to the people of Delaware. Thank you for your time in this matter.
Keep dreaming the impossible dream, it just may come true!
