Virginia Lottery

The Virginia Lottery's latest raffle-style game, New Year's Millionaire Raffle, was drawn Friday, and made three instant millionaires.

The winning numbers for all prize levels can be found on Lottery Post's Virginia Lottery Results page (www.lotterypost.com/results/va).

A total of 330,000 of the $20 tickets were available for purchase. All of the tickets were sold out prior to the drawing.

In addition to the three top jackpots of $1 million, other prizes include 6 winners of $25,000 and 300 winners of $500.

Each raffle ticket contains a unique, six-digit number issued sequentially across the state from the Lottery's central computer, starting with number 330000 and couning down to 000001.

The six-digit number printed on the ticket must match the six-digit raffle number combination selected in the drawing — in the exact sequence in which it was selected — to be considered a winning ticket.

All prizes are paid in lump-sum cash payments.

Winning tickets may be redeemed up to 180 days after the drawing date.

I can still remember Massachusetts Lottery tried their hand at selling raffle tickets back in 2007 and got burnt pretty bad.

More than 30% of the tickets were not bought. Thats the only time the Massachusetts have won over the lottery as far as I can remember.

They didn't loose, They didn't make the money they wanted too, All the Raffles I seen The States keep 50% of Sales if all tickets are sold and 50% to all the winners. For examplr Virginia took in 6.6 Million and prizes of 3.3 Million

I had 4 tickets for the Va raffle and didn't get squat - not even close to squat, as a matter of fact - less than squat.

If this isn't due cause for investigation, I don't know what is. Afterall, there were only three million dollar winners and I had four tickets; do the math!

There's something rotten in Richmond. I got a speeding ticket up there too so there's obviously some kind of conspiracy against people from Tennessee.

General Lee would be ashamed.

grave

Im with you on that!!! Something seems really funny with most (all) of the top prize 1M/25K winners being in Northern Va. but my moms friend husband did win a Million dollars in the 07 new year Millionaire raffle. His name is edward perry. He lives in portsmouth, but he bought his tickets in Newport news....... but i can tell you he spent a nice little chunk on the number of tickets he bought though. I think when the 2010  Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle is done this time they are gonna set it up to where i think the top prize winners are gonna be from the Hampton roads area.......

Don't feel to bad I have 12 tickets for the last 3 Drawing and never won a Dime, If I win $500 on the next Drawing I'll still be Behind.

Once Again Tidewater Section of Virginia Donated their money for the rest of the State, Never has this Area that has around 2 or 3 million people and can't even win $25,000 dollars in the Raffle, and our Instant scrachers are poorly conpair to the rest of the state. Totally SUCKS

It was one of six $25,000 winning tickets in Virginia’s New Year’s Millionaire Raffle – and one of two bought in Collinsville. The others were bought in Petersburg, Fredericksburg, Radford and Jarratt. Three tickets won the top prize of $1 million each. Those tickets were purchased in Yorktown, Richmond and Burke.

This is at least the 2nd time Yorktown won. What is this population compare to all of TIDEWATER AREA 1/60 the size

Don't tell me it goes by sells. You think Burke or Yorktown Sold even close to the Tidewater area, we brought at least 1/10 of all tickets sold
