Anthony Castro won the money playing a scratch ticket that he bought at Jacksons Food Stores in Boise. Castro says he has donated some of his winnings to his church, plans to set up a trust account for his daughter and will invest and bank the rest. He is moving to Portland soon to start a new job. Castro says he grew up in New York, survived a gunshot wound to the head at age 19 and moved to Idaho after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. He lived in a homeless shelter for a time until he got on his feet financially.

Good story, I'm happy it happened for someone who really needed it. And hopefully $250 Grand will lessen his inclination as an insurance agent to pester people about them needing more insurance. Especially at social and family functions. Insurance agents drive people insane, generally. Not that there's anything wrong with insurance people. Far be it from me to insinuate anything like that. . I will not comply. I will never submit. | | |
