DeeDee Moore will appear before a judge in downtown Tampa with new representation, as her previous lawyer was removed from the case due to a conflict of interest. In March, Moore was given a new attorney from the Public Defender's office. All along, Moore has claimed innocence in the murder of Abraham Shakespeare. She said she befriended Shakespeare after he won the lottery in 2008 so that she could write a book about him. Detectives, however, say they have built a strong case against Moore, with money, greed, and lies leading to Shakespeare's death. Shakespeare collected about $12.5 million in his lottery win and later disappeared. His body was found buried under a concrete slab on the property of a home in eastern Hillsborough County several months later, and investigators say Shakespeare had been shot to death. Moore was arrested soon after. "I have never hurt that man," Moore said in February. "Absolutely not," she added when asked outright if she had murdered Shakespeare. But according to investigators, Moore swindled millions of dollars from the lottery winner and has told police various stories about someone else pulling the trigger. Since her arrest, detectives say Moore has blamed everyone from drug dealers to her then-14-year-old son for Shakespeare's murder. Moore has been charged with first degree murder. There have been no other arrests in the case. MyFox Tampa Bay We'd love to see your comments here! "Since her arrest, detectives say Moore has blamed everyone from drug dealers to her then-14-year-old son for Shakespeare's murder." Geez...I'm always the first to say innocent until proven guilty....but to blame your own child for murder so that you can get off??? That's a new kind of low...even for a killer.

If convicted ....... ....... Justice should be swift and severe! Maybe she just thought that the money wasn't "fairly earned"! That kind of thinking is the impetus for the breakdown of our society! I once had a co-worker tell me that he had the "right" to come to my house and "take what I need" if he feels that I have more than him! HE WAS SERIOUS! I would like to have a piece of the $266 Million Mega Millions jackpot that was recently won, but it is NOT MINE! Best of luck to all playing the Powerball and Mega Millions.

It makes me sick people who think they are entitled to someone else's money......A lot of things have been justified by the wrongfull notion that this group of people got their wealth "wrongly" by taking it from the "Rightfull Owners".....Communists/Socialists always insite class warfare by saying the Rich (no matter how they earned their money)......STOLE their money from the People and the rightfull owners. They love this because it gives them the power to decide who DESERVES to be RICH(usually the elite/ well connected). Gov't has no place deciding how much someone makes or can make...IT"S NONE OF THEIR CONCERN!

She's accusing her own son of this deed?!?!?! I fully believe in innocent until proven guilty, and I hope if she is able to prove she did not to do it, that she goes ahead and proves that it was not her who did this, But this just reeks of cat in the bag, and I think I hear him meowing. BURIED UNDER CONCRETE???? WHAT ARE WE COMING TO! HUGS MY KITTEN. - - ILOVETHELOTTERY

The longer they drag this out the more the family has to relive the pain and they don't deserve to go through this mess over and over again.

I wonder if DeeDee Moore has returned any "stolen" funds to the Shakespeare Family yet? I wonder if the judge has viewed DeeDee Moore's 'multi-million net jackpot winner" book writing preparation notes yet? I wonder if the police have been tracking DeeDee Moore's son? Having millions of dollars in my financial accounts means more, consistent fun for me.

If she was already getting the money, then why kill the man? Complete foolishness! I guess this is a situation where logic does not apply!
