Citgo One Stop Mart owner Kaushik Patel said his southwest Michigan store sold the winning ticket last week in Friday night's multistate game drawing. Patel said the man, who hasn't been identified, came to the store Saturday to check his tickets but the machine didn't process. He went home, checked online and discovered his numbers matched. Then, Patel said, the customer called him to say he — and the store — were winners. Patel congratulated him and now looks forward to promoting it. "It's good for the store," said Patel. "It's good for the business — we sell more tickets." Patel said the customer spends $50 to $60 weekly on the Mega Millions' Tuesday and Friday drawings. Lottery spokeswoman Andi Brancato said Monday morning the winner has not yet contacted the state. She said he must schedule an appointment with lottery officials in Lansing to confirm he holds the winning ticket and collect the money. Mega Millions winners have one year from the drawing date to contact lottery officials. The winning numbers were six, 13, 33, 34 and 42. The Mega Ball was 25. The ticket matched all numbers and the Mega Ball. AP We'd love to see your comments here! I would imagine that someone from Michigan could use a MM win .......... given the fact that the unions have ruined the economy there. Best wishes to the winner ! I am hoping for Powerball win for PA ........... ME ! GOD BLESS THE USA !

I guess if you're playing to win the jackpot size shouldn't change your strategy because the odds of winning doesn't change with the jackpot size. * that which happens most * * is most likely to happen again *

$50 to $60 a week???? WHEEEW!! "...a chance to push everything aside, the circumstances that've controlled our lives, and do it our way now. Good, bad or otherwise. You'll maybe get lost in it, tied up in it a little bit, but if you work your way through that the real you shows up, I think. Maybe what's at your core deep down, maybe that comes out. Maybe that's what it's about." Mike Pace

$50 to $60 a week....dang, if he has that much cash available to put in the lottery, he surely isn't hurting or needing money from the win.

Yet, there is jackpot winning precedence to this method ... though I think previously southern net multi-millionaire, later massive jackpot winner Jack Whittaker spent apx. $100/week (on Powerball). I presume he stopped spending this amount after his big jackpot cash value receival. Anyway, congratulations to the owner(s) of this jackpot winning ticket. Having millions of dollars in my financial accounts means more, consistent fun for me.

great phrase...........The machine didn't process....... Looks like some of these stores need to get on the ball.......if the machine didn't work then the clerks would have to take the tickets and process them and who knows where those unprocessed tickets would end up...... I can see the machine getting unplugged and the clerk saying "here give me the ticket..(pretends to scan ticket)............well it's not a winner"..........(clerk keeps the ticket to cash later someplace else !!!!!!!)......oh well...........beaudad.... Still I don't play a lot but I play Powerball now and Mega Millions. When jackpot is really big. I play. Maybe he is playing in a family pool. Lets say 10 people putting $5 each for every draw. When you play multiple tickets your chances of winning increase big time. But you tend to loose more in the short run. I guess i'm cheap, but i can't stomach losing $50-$60 per drawing. I have seen many people hitting second prizes and jackpots for powerball and mega millions with $1 quick pick. I can't visualize winning when i bet more than $5.
