I predict this whole brouhaha will die down when the leader of the movement opposing the lottery on moral grounds is caught having sex with a turnip. On video.

It never fails.

He'll then have to do the requisite public apology on TV as he explains: "Mistakes were made."

His wife will be at his side.

God, I hope he doesn't bring the turnip.

Was the turnip from Kentucky?

any day now.

It is not a sin to gamble. It becomes a sin when it begins to consume your life, or you begin to gamble with money that you cannot afford to lose. I am a Christian and I occasionally play the lottery.

Also, why don't these guys consider relocating to Alabama or Mississippi, where there is no state lottery. Mississippi isn't too far away.

Unless I state otherwise, I am referring to numbers in straight order.

I cannot predict lottery numbers, except that there will be no winning number tomorrow in Nevada.

In a lot of states, lotteries benefit education. That makes the REAL winners the only people who can't play!
