Lottery trying to track down the winners

45 Arkansas Lottery players who purchased Arkansas Million Dollar Raffle tickets are owed $20.

That's because the lottery terminal failed to alert the player or retailer that the player won a bonus prize.

The situation resulted from a vendor software issue triggered when a new lottery retailer began selling raffle tickets. The issue was recognized soon after, and the lottery made an announcement to inform players holding a raffle ticket to check their number to see if their ticket was a $20 instant win.

The Raffle tickets have been on sale for only a week, with an estimated fall conclusion and drawing.

The affected ticket numbers are:

017275, 017300, 017325, 017350, 017375, 017400, 017425, 017450, 017475, 017500, 017525, 017550, 017575, 017600, 017625, 017650, 017675, 017700, 017725, 017750, 017775, 017800, 017825, 017850, 017875, 017900, 017925, 017950, 017975, 018000, 018025, 018775, 018800, 018825, 018850, 018875, 018900, 018925, 018950, 018975, 019000, 019025, 019050, 019075, 019100

Persons holding these tickets should call the Lottery at 501-683-2000 and arrangements will be made to pay the prize.  All raffle tickets remain eligible for the grand prize drawing.

In the Arkansas Million Dollar Raffle, players buy numbered $10 raffle tickets. There will be only 500,000 $10 Arkansas Million Dollar Raffle tickets sold. The raffle numbers are sold in order — players do not get to pick their own. Players must sign and keep their Arkansas Million Dollar Raffle ticket until the drawing.

Lottery Terminals - looks like they need a few pre-tests too.

Terminals playing by their own rules? Blue Thinking Takes an honest human (reluctant or otherwise) to set the computers straight. The terminals in PA are also

trying to go solo..setting their own clocks and eating tickets they don't seem to like. What is this world coming to? Makes one want to launch an

investigation...at least into the crummy software they rely on daily....definitely into the substandard, heat sensitive, flimsy paper they print

the tickets on. Last week a terminal failed to alert the clerk that my instant ticket was a winner. They had to resort to old school and read the

darn thing...sure enough...the telltale letters were there: H U N - The machine insisted the ticket was: unpayable...unpayable?? I never in my

life saw such a thing. Watch your tickets and your back along with them.

You almost have hold on to your ticket even if it's said it not a winner!Yes NodWhat if you got rid of the ticket in a case like this, now what?
