Most public interest will likely be centered on the winner of Saturday's $128.6 million Powerball drawing. That's because of the unique location where the winning ticket was purchased: an adult video and book store in Highland Park. The location also includes a walk-up window for lottery ticket purchases, and the odds are good the winner will explain that was how the winning ticket was purchased. The other big winner claiming their prize Friday bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $141 million in the Oct. 29 drawing.  Michigan sure was hot in the lottery multi-millions net jackpot claiming realm! It's interesting that both would agree to appearing in person (rather than sending a representative lawyer) tomorrow. Maybe one or both ticket holders will change their plans. Appears that their state tax on lottery winnings is 4.35%; not bad, not great. Add that deduction to the probable 35% federal tax and the wins are still SUPER exciting.
Next door neighbor, Ohio won the jackpot the following drawing! Now, which state's ticket purchaser will win the next jackpot? I'm allowing it to be me. Having millions of dollars in my financial accounts means more, consistent fun for me.
